2013 Taylormade Equipment
1/3/2013 was the big day for the Taylormade official release of the R1 Driver, the RBZ Stage 2 woods, and the Lethal Ball.
If you want to read the official press releases click on the links, my initial thoughts are under the links.
R1
I'll admit, I'm pretty skeptical of this one. I'm usually really excited to see the new TM stuff, but #Taylormade13 has me wondering what is the big deal. The R1 has new paint on the crown, which I can't say I like looking at the pic, and more adjustability in the hosel, but other than that, it looks like an R11S. The giant compass on the bottom only matters when you rest the club on the ground so not sure what that is going to help.
RBZ Stage2
The RBZ Stage 2 certainly peaks my interest, but since Taylormade didn't feel that an #iGr review of the original RBZ was worth it, I doubt I'll try the RBZ Stage 2 either. I wouldn't mind 27 more yards, but I'm still waiting for TM to prove it can gain me even 1 yard.
Lethal Ball
This ball might turn out to be really good. I've actually really liked the Penta and Penta TP5 so if this is just a better version of those balls I think I could get on board with it.
