Kikkor Golf Shoes
Kikkor is a brand all about having fun playing golf. The owner/founder of the company James Lepp set out to create a golf shoe that didn't look like the same old boring ones everyone else was making. Instead he designed a street style shoe, that not only looks cool, but is comfortable and works well.
The fun was in full force at the Faldo Institute on Friday night of the PGA show. Kikkor Golf hosted a glow ball scramble tournament. While it took a little longer to get going than expected, once it started the fun began. I got paired up with wonderful group from the Chicago Junior Golf Association. I think our group had the most fun of any group out there. Surprisingly we even played decent. I think we came in 2nd or 3rd place. There were lots of laughs, drinks and even a glow ball water skipping contest on the last hole. The party went late into the night.
So if you are headed to the PGA show next year, make sure to check out the Kikkor Golf glow ball scramble, it was awesome. Even if you can't make the show or glow ball tournament, check out their fun and functional line of golf shoes. They have some new high-tops, lightweights and even some wingtips Kikkor style.
They recently signed LPGA golfer Ryann O'Toole to wear their shoes on tour. Here is a little more information about this signing. Both Ryann and Kikkor portray images of originality, athleticism, and youthfulness, making the partnership a perfect match. Ryann, following her Rookie season on the LPGA, explains, "Considering my background in skateboarding, wakeboarding, and surfing, the choice to go with Kikkor was an obvious one. James and his team are cutting edge in design fashion. The shoes not only fit my personal style, but they also feel and perform great. I'm stoked to be part of the Kikkor team." James Lepp, founder of Kikkor Golf, echoed the same sentiment, "We do things differently at Kikkor Golf, so we wanted to find a player that was also radically different. Ryann was clearly a perfect fit."
