Trackman Launch Monitor
Trackman Launch Monitors have long been considered the standard by which all other launch monitors are measured. In 2012 they are introducing the Trackman III which is more powerful and offers even more teaching tools. The software is now more user friendly and offers camera compatibility which is now built into the launch monitor unit itself. They continue to offer training for their users so that the teaching pros can make the most of this powerful unit. The new unit is also smaller and weather resistant. Don't dunk it in water and you will be just fine, but you can leave it outside all summer long. (although with the price of a unit, I think I would keep it stored away when not in use) Their software is very powerful and currently only runs on a PC. They do have future plans to offer some Mac/mobile device software, but not in the near future. I think that they need to accelerate those plans. So many people I know are dropping their PCs for Mac/mobile devices.
Trackman raised the bar again with their new unit, but if they don't keep consumers in mind with their software they might just lose ground. So if you want the absolute best LM for teaching and tracking, find yourself a Trackman.
