If just pause and listen on the golf course?

There are so many different sounds: the titanium smash of a driver, the crisp iron hit, the clink of the ball dropping into the cup, the shouts of joy, the expletive of frustration, the fresh sound of the mower, the start of stop of power carts, the songs of birds, the howl of the wind and the clanging of clubs.

It’s that last sounds as you hear golfers walking down the fairway with their clubs on their backs and the irons just banging against each other with every step.

You know the “bag chatter” those irons will have after just 18 holes.

The Ask Echo ST-LOCK Stand Bag offers a quiet walk with incredible style.

They’ve designed one of the stylish bags you’ll find, yet it is full of innovative features that make is easy to carry, comfortable on the back, functional to retrieve items from the bag and most of all keeps your clubs locked in place for security and silence.

This is my official Ask Echo ST-LOCK Stand Bag Review.

Carry Style For Compliments

This color combo turns heads more than any other bag I’ve used.

The Ask Echo ST-LOCK Stand Bag in toasted almond/white gets more compliment than any other bag I’ve used.

It looks very similar to their Ask Echo SLC-130LE Cart Bag review I did a few months ago.

While the bags looks similar, the stand bag material is a lightweight weather resistant nylon.

I found it to be very durable, easy to clean and looks as classy as anything.

The black trim makes it stand out nicely with the zippers and logos.

Quiet and Secure Clubs

The Ask Echo ST-LOCK Stand Bag has their 14-way top with grip lock base.

This means each club has a slot and locks into the bag when you put it in its place.

It is easy to slide them in and remove them.

The real benefit comes from the fact that they don’t move once placed in the bag so no banging of clubs when you walk down the fairway with this bag on your back. It virtually eliminates all “bag chatter” on your irons.

It also locks them in place in case your bag tips over or gets dumped out.

That means your clubs are safe and secure no matter what you do or how you drop, carry or store your bag.

I’ve watched entire bags end up being dumped out as someone pulls their clubs out of the trunk.

There are numerous ways to spill your clubs and make a mess; with this bag that won’t happen.

Magnetic Pockets Are Awesome and Secure Zipper Ones Are Great + One Secret Pocket

I love magnetic pockets on golf bags. They make accessing the items inside so much easier and they seem to have a much smaller fail rate.

The Ask Echo ST-LOCK Stand Bag has 2 most used pockets with magnets and the rest with easy pull zippers.

Actually the main ball and rangefinder pocket has both.

I would zip it up for transporting the bag in my car, but then unzip it for the round to have easy access to my rangefinder and spare golf balls.

The side magnetic pocket is great for keeping my wallet.

The other 6 pockets have easy pull zippers that open wide for easy access.

The big bottom spine pocket can hold numerous cold beverages so even walking you can enjoy cold hydration.

The other side pockets can carry just about anything you need for 18 holes.

Just as a reminder with stand bags that have lots of storage: it can get heavy on the shoulders the more gear you bring along.

I also really liked the fact that the zippers and pockets weren’t all straight lines.

This also allows for better access.

Another super cool feature of this bag I’ve never seen before is the rain hood pocket.

It is built into the back-pad of the bag.

I typically take the rain hood out of my bag because it just takes up space in a large pocket and is honestly kind of annoying.

This however solves that problem brilliantly with this “secret” rain hood pocket.

14-Way Top For All Your Clubs But That’s It

I am a huge fan of 14-way tops and the Ask Echo ST-LOCK Stand Bag has a silent club lock system that works great.

Each club gets a dedicated slot and the larger putter well works great on any size grip.

However remember that alignment sticks, ball retriever, training aid or a desert club won’t fit.

It is 14 slots and that is it with really no way of sneaking something else in the bag.

While I know that technically many of those items aren’t allowed in competitive rounds, most of us golf for fun and maybe have something else in our bags for the range or warm up.

Stand Mechanism for Walking, Riding or Pushing

The Ask Echo ST-LOCK Stand Bag has drop top technology which means the legs pivot a little lower off the top of the bag so that when the bag is on a power cart or push cart the legs aren’t crushed against the brackets.

This is a really nice feature that doesn’t impact the carry or standing of the bag while using it.

When you take this bag off your back and stand it up, the leg deploy easily and the bag has a really nice angle for getting clubs in and out.

But when it rides, it doesn’t slide around on the stand mechanism.

Summary

The Ask Echo ST-LOCK Stand Bag is both functional, stylish and brilliant.

Golfers at every golf course I’ve used this bag offered numerous compliments.

It also does it quietly as my brand new irons had zero “bag chatter” after multiple rounds.

If you like to keep your clubs looking like new, have a super stylish bag and one that functions well with magnetic pockets and zippers, plus it rides, pushes or carries perfectly; then this is the bag you are looking for.

This bag turns heads quietly with a 14-way lock-top and a lightweight style that functions perfectly no matter how you walk, ride or push.
