For the past 8 weeks I’ve been testing endless combinations of the Astral Fit-Kit Putter. 

I don’t know the actual math but something well over 60 hosel configurations are possible on top of the different face inserts and body options. 

The Astral Fit-Kit is the most customizable putter you can buy. 

It is the golf tinkers dream putter with the ability to swap hosels, faces, bodies, etc.

Adjustable Everything

If you love to tinker, adjust weights, try different combinations and configurations, this is THE putter for you. 

The Astral Fit-Kit Putter is the most amazing, creative,engineering genius putter I’ve seen.

You can adjust almost everything about the putter. 

You can choose between 2 (coming soon a mallet) body types: blade and mid-mallet. 

You can choose between 2 stock faces: copper or brass. 

It comes with 3 different hosels which all rotate in 10 different directions plus can be rotated up and down. 

You can build a putter, try it, and then build it differently until you settle on one you like. 

Even after that, you can mess with it endlessly searching for the putter that never misses.

Copper vs. Brass

The Astral Fit-Kit Putter comes with 2 face plate options: Copper or Brass. 

They both fit in either head perfectly. 

The screw down tightly so that they feel like they are part of the body. 

Both faces looks really cool against the black carbon steel body. 

There are some really cool custom faces they’ve made too in exotic materials. 

I can’t wait to see what the future holds for options. 

The contrasting color looks amazing, but I look forward to seeing a stealthy black option too.

I gravitated toward the softer copper face, but that’s not taking anything away from the brass face. 

The perfectly flat and horizontal grooved face puts a really nice roll on the ball in either metal.

3 Hosel System

The Astral Fit-Kit Putter comes with 3 hosels. 

Each is similar in shape, but different angles creating more or less offset in different directions. 

They can be flipped upside down too, creativing even more combinations.

I think there are probably 5 popular combination with each color coded hosel that work really well and a couple that seem more just a product of design that feel weird to putt with. (but maybe someone loves it) 

I ended up in the blue hosel A2 position which is a notch forward and over the body of the putter creating almost a center-shaft look. 

I found myself confident and making putts with this combo.

Details

The Astral Fit-Kit Putter comes with the tools and accessories you need to spend countless hours tinkering with different putter combinations. 

I got a couple bonus pieces for review to really put this putter to the test. 

The Astral accessories are cool and functional. 

The leather cover with “tack” construction and Astral embroidery is unique and works very nicely on both the blade and mid-mallet.

They offer multiple grip options or gripless if you want to install your own. 

I could imagine buying the shaft adapter or additional shafts to try even more combinations.

Performance

Here is the trickiest part of this review because if a configuration didn’t work for me on the green, it isn’t really the putters fault. 

The endless combinations means it is more a matter of time than anything else to find the best functioning Astral Fit-Kit Putter. 

I felt like I zeroed in on my favorite combo with the blue hosel, copper face and mid-mallet body. 

I was rolling birdies and making long and shot putts with confidence. 

Performance for the Astral Fit-Kit Putter falls more on the golfer and less on the putter because if it isn’t working, change it until it does. 

The endless options mean that something will eventually work. 

They do offer fitting help and tips as you can see above to get you started.

Summary

The Astral Fit-Kit Putter is absolutely BRILLIANT!! 

I love tinkering and being able to try so many putter combos in one putter means that I can fit myself continuously until I get it right.

The combination are very easy to change with the allen screws holding everything together. 

Astral not only created something unique, but something functional that golfers can enjoy now and “forever”. 

The system is set up well for the future too so that you can get new faces, new bodies, and new hosels without having to buy a whole putter every time. 

I cant’ wait to see what Astral adds to their offerings in the future.
