Bobby Jones Golf Apparel is a country club style line with a full range from head to toe. I tested two pieces from its Masters-themed Augusta Collection, the Azalea Polo and the Clubhouse Pullover. The polo fits well without being tight, the pullover is soft and stretchy, and both look right on the course and off it.

Bobby Jones helped design Augusta National and co-founded the Masters Tournament in the 1930s. The apparel brand carries his name, though he was never part of it. These pieces let you cheer on your favorite golfers while feeling part of the action, even if you aren’t there in person.

Country club style

Bobby Jones is a long-running country club brand that celebrates modern golf while holding to classic roots, and that’s rare in a fashion world where brands come and go. It offers a wide variety of styles with clean lines, simple patterns and a flair for the “gentleman’s game.” Many of them would fit in at any private club, on or off the course.

Azalea Polo: pattern, fit and fabric

Most Bobby Jones apparel uses simple patterns and solid colors, but the Augusta Azalea Polo has a bold pattern in Masters colors. The green and white flower print is bold yet done in a way that isn’t wild, and the yellow four-leaf-clover logo on the chest adds a touch of the theme.

The cut is a classic country club look. A medium fits me with a fitted appearance without getting tight. The moisture-wicking fabric handles warm weather, and the 4-way stretch moves with the golf swing.

Clubhouse Pullover for cool mornings

The Augusta Clubhouse Pullover is an easy add to the polo because a cool morning sometimes calls for an extra layer. The solid green matches the Azalea Polo and looks good with shorts or pants. It has a nice texture, softness and stretch, so it feels luxurious yet simple.

I’d wear it to walk the halls of a private country club or to play 18 holes on a cool spring morning.

Should you buy it?

Yes, if you like a classic country club look and want Masters-themed pieces in green and white. The Augusta Collection from Bobby Jones Golf Apparel has two solid choices in the Azalea Polo and Clubhouse Pullover, and I think they also make a nice green addition to your wardrobe outside Masters week.
