Callaway Chrome Tour Triple Diamond Golf Ball Review
Bring The Speed To Be Rewarded With Performance
“Firm is Fast” is a phrase that is loved by my fellow golf ball reviewers.
For the fastest swinging golfers, a firmer ball will offer the best performance, and even does really well with certain amateur swing speeds.
There is segment of the golfing population that needs lower spin golf balls in order to maximize their game.
If you want lower flight, lower spin and a firm golf ball, the Callaway Chrome Tour Triple Diamond Golf Ball is going to one of your best options.
I’ve been impressed by my spring testing in terms of distance and performance on the course.
After multiple rounds with this ball in play, I might just convert to Triple Diamond for the 2025 season. ย
This is my official Callaway Chrome Tour Triple Diamond Golf Ball Review.

How Firm?
Callaway’s “Tour” golf balls used to be called Chrome Soft with a few different models under that name, yet as the last few generations were fairly firm, they changed the name to Chrome Tour.
The Callaway Chrome Tour Triple Diamond is one of the firmest golf balls on the market.
If you want one of the fastest balls in golf, then this firm golf ball is for you.
For Callaway the Triple Diamond name has been synonymous with low spin so you know what you are getting in this firm tour ball.

Triple Diamond Low Spin
As a high spin golfer, clubs and balls that can lower my spin perform the best for me on the golf course.
While many golfers need more spin, I’m part of a small group that need less spin.
All of my best rounds of golf have been played with a low spinning golf ball. I simply maximize my distance while getting some roll out on the greens.
As golfers increase their swing speed, their spin tends to increase too.
The Triple Diamond is perfect for high speed and high spin golfers.

Launch Control
The Callaway dimple style remains one of best in windy conditions.
They hold their line better than any other ball I’ve played.
Now add to this fact that the Callaway Chrome Tour Triple Diamond is low launching, you can control your shots in the wind even better than other models.
I really like the lower launch for a more penetrating flight and more control with every club.
It can be seen wit the eye while playing 18 holes.
Shots go up, but flatten out sooner and stay on a piercing flight longer.
I really like it with wedges so that I can attack pins without too much spin, check or launch.

Impressive Performance
I know that many golfers can’t tell the difference between golf balls, especially when they are playing some version of a “tour” ball.
However the Callaway Chrome Tour Triple Diamond Golf Ball is different and impressive.
You can feel the difference and see the difference on the course.
I’ve been impressed every round of golf that this ball has been in play.
I’m watching huge penetrating and straight drives bound down the fairway, I’m watch approach shots fly on a perfect trajectory toward the flag and my favorite part has been wedge shots that roll out just the perfect amount toward the hole.
Putting is firm, but predictable. I could feel the firmness, but knew exactly what it was going to do off the putter.
I’ve been impressed this spring with this ball.

Summary
The Callaway Chrome Tour Triple Diamond Golf Ball isn’t for everyone.
It is firm, fast, low spin, low launch which is best for high spin and high speed swings.
If that is you, this ball is one of the best options out there.
I’ve really fallen in love with this ball since it fits the needs of my swing near perfectly.
There are only a couple of golf balls on the market that fit this limited segment of the golfing population, and Callaway just introduced one of the best.
