Callaway ELYTE Triple Diamond 3-Wood Review
Is This Low Spin 3-Wood Only For Elyte Golfers?
WITB. This acronym stands for What’s In The Bag and it usually refers to professional golfers. Since amateur golfers get to play the same courses as the pros they often think they should play the same clubs as the pros…but should you? How good do you need to be to hit the new Callaway ELYTE Triple Diamond 3-Wood? It is going to depend on if you need: low spin, right bias, penetrating flight and compact head. The Callaway ELYTE Triple Diamond 3-Wood might just be the best combo of all those features, but only if it fits. I tested this club in my bag for 7 rounds and in the iGR Office by Carl’s Place Simulator.
This is my definitive Callaway ELYTE Triple Diamond 3-Wood Review.

Tungsten Speed Wave + Weight = Fast
The Callaway ELYTE Triple Diamond 3-Wood has a 35-gram suspended weight behind the face to give it ELYTE power + an adjustable weight up front. This club is a rocket launcher that feels so solid at impact. By suspending the weight off the sole they are able to move the CG up to keep the launch stronger and the Triple Diamond model keeps the spin way down. The weight forward paired with the Speed Wave brings everything upfront which transfers all the energy into the ball and drops spin, but it also makes it a little more demanding overall.

Step Sole = Excellent Turf Interaction
Callaway created a two level sole so that turf interaction is reduced. Their claim is 57% reduction in contact with the ground. This is pretty important if you are trying to maximize speed and lower spin. If you can keep as much of the club out of or off of the turf, you will get cleaner contact for lower spin and faster speeds. The Callaway ELYTE Triple Diamond 3-Wood still sits on the ground square with the large step-up sole pad right behind the face. This club can be launched from just about any lie. The low launch and spin are going to be better from the tee and fairway compared to the rough.

Triple Diamond = Low Spin+
The Callaway ELYTE Triple Diamond 3-Wood is low spin. The low spin is also paired with a fade bias. There are going to be golfers that are going to love this set-up and it will be a perfect fit. However if you are like most amateur golfers that slice the ball, this club will not offer much help. The low launch, low spin and fade bias will be excellent for the elite golfer. The adjustable hosel can help some, but the head and weight still control the main performance parameters.

Summary
The Callaway ELYTE Triple Diamond 3-Wood is perfect high speed, high launch and high spin golfers. If you aren’t able to swing like this I’d highly recommend the regular ELYTE fairway wood. However if this fits your needs, it will reward you with high performance by dropping spin, lowering launch and having some fade bias. This is one powerful 3-wood that fits lower handicap/stronger golfers. It might not be for everyone, but the rewards are legit for those it fits. Callaway offers a wide array of fairway woods for all golfers, this one is for ELYTE golfers with speed, launch and spin. If the fit is right, this might be the most ELYTE 3-Wood for 2025.
