Push carts are one of those investments that you don’t want to make every season, even if you walk 100 rounds a year.

We’d rather spend our money on the newest driver tech, a fancy new putter, green fees or on the necessary golf balls each year.

We want our push cart to last many years.

Clicgear makes the most durable push carts.

They will last years, even decades with good care. If a part breaks, they are easy to replace and repair too.

I own a Clicgear Model 1.0 push cart and it still works perfectly after 20 years.

The newest Clicgear Model 4.5 Push Cart is their most refined and improved model yet.

It is just as durable and will easily last multiple seasons.

It has been 6 years since Clicgear launched a new model which says something about the design and durability.

If you are looking to upgrade in 2026, this one of the best of 2026.

This is my official Clicgear Model 4.5 Push Cart Review.

Clicgear Model 4.5 Push Cart

Compact When Folded/Durable When Open

The compact fold of the Clicgear Model 4.5 Push Cart is what changed the push cart industry forever. In 2005 when Clicgear Model 1.0 crashed the golf world, they were the first and only company to make a compact folding push cart.

Previously there were only large fold in half kind of push carts that took up a ton of room in storage.

The twisting front wheel arm with the collapsible main frame allowed the Clicgear to be folded into a relatively small cube, but when open the most stable push cart you can use. That 20 year old design remains the same which I find quick and easy to use.

The design is rock solid both folded and unfolded. It makes for easy storage, but once you get this cart on the course, you see how well it is built.

It never falls or tips over, it has incredible balance and it feel very solid with little to no flex in the frame.

One of the reasons these carts last so long is because how well they are built. Model 4.5 remains the most durable push cart you can buy.

3-Wheel Stability

The Clicgear Model 4.5 Push Cart remains the king of stability on the golf course.

I’ve tried every brand of push cart made and Clicgear always comes out on top in terms of balance and stability.

The design has a low center of gravity, enough weight to balance out the top heavy golf bag, along with a wide enough base to tackle side hills, down hills and up hills.

I’ve walked with a Clicgear cart for 20 years and I’ve only tipped it over once or twice and it was clearly user error.

This cart retains all those stability features of previous models and simply builds on that legacy.

The new handlebar is easy to steer that cart wherever you want it to go.

The fixed front wheel only requires a minimal push down to lift it off the ground for turning.

The only issue is how close the base of the bag rides to the front wheel.

The bag I used didn’t rub, but certainly could use a little more space for other bags.

Refined Command Center Console with Storage

The “new” of the Clicgear Model 4.5 Push Cart is mostly found in the refined command center console.

This is completely changed with so many new features.

The first one you’ll probably notice is the phone holder front and center.

It also is designed to amply sound if you use your phone for music.

The top latches so that it stay closed more securely while walking.

The magnetic side is paired with an opposite velcro side which allows you to slap on accessories and your glove next to the console.

The new zipper bag beneath the console has greater access and storage while walking.

The net basket in front of the console continues to serve as a quick catch for anything I need to throw in there quickly.

Additional Improvements

While it might not seem like much, but the new and improved side mounted cup holder on the Clicgear Model 4.5 Push Cart is the real deal.

One of the biggest frustrations when walking with a push cart is keeping a cold beverage handy and secure.

The molded cup holders were limited in what they could hold, and the former Clicgear expandable plastic only worked with certain sizes too.

The new bungee cord expandable cup holder will work with virtually any size drink, cup or bottle you’ll use.

They also changed the screw size for the umbrella holder so you can’t bring any accessory from a previous model over into the new umbrella holder.

Not really a big deal since the 4.5 comes with an umbrella holder.

Summary

The Clicgear Model 4.5 Push Cart has been in the making for 6 years.

All the things we love about previous models is found in this cart: stability, compact fold, durability, balance, easy push, and easy walking plus the redesigned center command console makes it more useful while playing.

It might not feel like a major upgrade (which is probably why it is a .5 model) it is more of a refinement of the most durable push cart you can buy.

Your investment into this cart will last you many seasons to come.
