I played 8 rounds of golf with this putter in my bag and shot some of my lowest scores of the season.

I also practiced with it on my backyard putting green as well as with the Putt Out Training Aids from Cobra.

This is my official Cobra King 3D Printed Agera Putter Review.

There are hundreds of putter companies out there, but only a few really dominate the market.  Between the 3 major putter brands they pretty much win every major golf tournament and every putter count on every tour.  Many different brands have tried to crack into this market, but struggle to find a following or niche in a big way.  Sure there are boutique brands that do well for themselves, but few even come close to the “big boys.”  Cobra decided to swing for the fences with their new putter lines.  They have the Vintage line and the 3D Printed line.

I wanted to try something a little different than my typical gamer style putter.  I tend to play “blade” style putters since they fit my stroke best and I tend to score the lowest with them.  However I went with the Agera model of the Cobra King 3D printed putters.  It is a big square mallet.  It is somewhat similar to “spider” models.  This one does it differently with the multi-material design.  The “insides” are 3D printed lattice nylon, paired with tungsten weights, SIK aluminum face, steel body and a forged aluminum crown.  It is highly technical and allows for all kinds of CG/weight distribution.

The Cobra King 3D Printed Agera Putter uses SIK face technology.   I’ve played a SIK putter before and their descending loft technology is legit.  It allows for a variety of strokes to create the same roll on the ball.  If you have a descending angle of attack or ascending angle of attach the putter will roll the ball the same because of the face technology.  It creates a consistent roll which means putt after putt the same things happens to your golf ball every roll.  This means consistency and confidence on the green.

The Cobra King 3D Printed Agera Putter is perfectly balanced.  While it does have rear tungsten weights, it also maintains enough weight by the fact that I didn’t have any speed control issues.  Often when the weight gets too far from the face, I tend to push that weight through the ball and usually putt the ball well past the hole, but this one is more balanced.  They put plenty of tungsten up near the face too so speed control was near perfect with this putter on almost every putt.

The Cobra King 3D Printed Agera Putter also sets up square and is super easy to align.  The long 3D printed sight line points straight to the hole.  The contrast of black and silver make it sit nicely behind the ball and putts the ball straight on the intended line putt after putt. the face, I tend to push that weight through the ball and usually putt the ball well past the hole, but this one is more balanced.  They put plenty of tungsten up near the face too so speed control was near perfect with this putter on almost every putt.

The Cobra King 3D Printed Agera Putter surprised me and even became my gamer.  That doesn’t happen often, but scores and analytics say this putter works.  I had more 1 putts, and fewer 3 putts.  It simply gets that job done on the greens.  I wasn’t expecting it to take over the “gamer” spot in my bag, but I’m not going to argue with results.  While my “blades” are certainly prettier putters, the technology in the Agera putter works better.

The Cobra King 3D Printed Agera Putter also comes with a really nice grip.  It is a Cobra Lamkin Sinkfit Straight Connect with imbedded Arccos.  This combo is outstanding in terms of feel and function.  It really like how the hands wrap around the grip.  It is also really nice to have Arccos embedded in the grip so that stat tracking is seamless and easy.

Summary

The Cobra King 3D Printed Putters have a chance to be something special.  Cracking into the top tier OEM putter market is tough, but Cobra came out swinging for the fences.  My results say they can compete at the highest level.  They jumped in with both feet and have a legit chance to find their way into the hands of professional and amateur golfers.  You need to check the variety of new putters that Cobra produced because they are really good.  Don’t be afraid to try a different style to see if it works for you.
