Cobra KING TEC Mini Driver Review
The King of Accuracy
There might be a few reasons that you are considering a mini driver: you don’t hit your driver well, you want to fill a distance gap between driver and 3-wood, you want a more versatile long club, or you want something that hits more fairways. Personally I think the biggest reason to put a mini driver in the bag is to hit more fairways without losing much distance.
The Cobra KING TEC Mini Driver is the most accurate mini driver on the market. This mini driver just wants to go straight on every single swing. I’ve been blown away by how accurate, easy and straight this mini drive is to hit. I don’t think I missed a fairway with over 4 rounds with it in the bag. I also tested it in the IGR Office by Carl’s Place DIY Simulators and found the numbers to be just as impressive as the on-course results were.
This is my official Cobra KING TEC Mini Driver Review.

King of Accuracy
Distance is KING! I know that everyone wants clubs that go further, but the whole reason to have a mini driver in the bag is to hit more fairways. If you only wanted distance, you’d just hit a regular driver. The Cobra KING TEC Mini Driver is the most accurate mini driver you can play. The 303cc head is big enough to feel like a driver, but small enough to have your mind think you are hitting a 3-wood. The combination of titanium, carbon and weighting make this club a fairway finder. That is simply all it does shot after shot is go exactly where you want it to go.
While it is the king of accuracy, it is not slouch when it comes to distance either. My driver averages around that 275 yards and 3-wood averages around 240 yards and the mini driver fit right around that 255 range. Not only does it fill a gap, but doesn’t give up more than a club or two on approach shots meaning even long par 4s I still have no trouble reaching in 2.

Adjustable Weights On The Line
The Cobra KING TEC Mini Driver is a multi-material mini driver with titanium face, carbon crown and sole. The sole has 2 adjustable weights which are down the target line or in line with the center of the club. I play the heavy weight forward for lowest spin and launch which still allows plenty of launch, but everything moving down the target lines means straight and accurate shots. If you want a little more launch, swap weights to get even straighter and higher shots.

FutureFit33
Does anyone adjust their hosel? While many of us set it and forget it; the ability of the FutureFit33 hosel system to “micro” dial in a golfer is impressive. Instead of 2* one way or the other, you can get .7* adjustments which tends to be more what golfers need and also doesn’t drastically change the look of the club behind the ball. The Cobra KING TEC Mini Driver is their 1st mini driver and only comes with one stock shaft option so this is a great system for adjustability as well as staying ahead of the competition with this future-proof fitting system.

H.O.T. Face
The Cobra KING TEC Mini Driver uses the newest version of the H.O.T Face from Cobra which has been incredibly impressive over the years. This forged face has kind of a square shape being both wide and tall. I love how forgiving it is with optimal zones designed to maintain ball speed even if the strike is not dead center of the face. I was impressed with how straight tee shot after tee shot went with this mini driver and how consistent the distance was too.

Fairway, Fairway, and More Fairways
The Cobra KING TEC Mini Driver just hits fairways. It might not be the longest mini driver on the market, but it is the most accurate on the course which honestly is the whole reason to have it in the bag. If the fairway is narrow, if the landing zone it tight, or if the big stick is misbehaving then I grab the TEC mini and find the short stuff every time. It is playable from the fairway too. I found the 303cc on the big side for tight lies or rough, but from a ball that is sitting up nicely in the fairway this thing will hit a super straight and accurate approach shot too.
The stock configuration with the Kai’li Dark Waves 60 gram shaft in a stiff flex feels really good, but what impresses me is the consistently good results. The shaft combination with this head is an accurate, mid to low spin fairway finder.

Summary
The King of Accuracy will help lower your scores. The Cobra KING TEC Mini Driver proves why amateur and professional golfers are dropping mini drivers in their bags because accuracy is so important for scoring without giving up too many yards between their driver and 3-wood. With the TEC Mini hitting almost driver like distance with such incredible accuracy, it is aiming to stay in the bag long term for all the reasons above. If you are on the fence about a mini driver or which mini driver, this one is the King of accurate mini drivers.
