I have been putting with a LAB DF3 Putter for the 2nd half of 2024 and looks like 2025 is going to be the year of the LAB putter in my bag. While the stock headcover is really nice, I wanted a color matching custom headcover. I found out that Craftsman had just released their version of a center shafted mallet headcover. We created a beautiful IGR custom headcover for my LAB DF3 Putter and it is AWESOME!

Custom Cover For LAB DF3
LAB makes some limited edition putter covers for their DF3 model, but were sold out by the time I saw them. I went searching for other custom cover options to match my bag and other headcovers. Craftsman was the only company I found that was taking orders. Their custom putter headcovers can be done right off their website. I uploaded the new IGR logo and in a couple of weeks it arrived at my door. They offer 5 base leather covers and then you can have whatever you want embroidered onto the cover. I went white leather to match my other Craftsman IGR wood covers.
Putter Protection
The Craftsman LAB DF3 Custom Putter Headcover rivals anything made by OEM putter makers. It is well crafted and offers excellent putter head protection. The lining is soft grey “fur”. The cover is thick and well padded. The real key is the magnetic closure which keeps the cover on no matter how many bumps you roll over on the course. This cover does not come off unless you remove it, which is easily done with a flip of the dual magnet tabs. It goes back on really easy too by sliding the putter back into the cover and then flipping the tabs back over and it automatically “latches”. It also is easy to clean and repels dirt and grime so that the cover looks like brand new after 6 rounds of golf and being tossed on the greens repeatedly.
Matching Covers
Craftsman offers plain LAB DF3 Putter Headcovers as well as custom ones. This means you can probably find something to match your bag and or wood headcovers. I really like the look of a complete set of IGR custom Craftsman headcovers. While this cover is designed for the LAB DF3 putter, it works great on my Odyssey Square 2 Square Jailbreak and the LAB OZ1.i putter. Basically any center shafted mallet will fit nicely into this cover. Craftsman nailed the design, fit and finish perfectly with this cover.

I was impressed by the relatively quick turnaround time, the ease in design, and the quality of the stitching and construction.
