Golfers love other sports, especially cheering for their favorite football team. The passionate fans of the football world not only love seeing their team on the pitch, but being able to show some love on the golf course is just another way of being a good fan. Eagle Links Golf produces headcovers and accessories that allow football fans to show who they support with high quality headcovers for woods and putters, as well as some fun accessories and polos.
This is the definitive Eagle Links Headcover & Accessories Review for 2024.
Favorite Football Teams
Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, Etc. are just a few of the popular football teams that Eagle Links Golf has created headcovers and accessories to support. While this isn’t licesned gear, you certainly know the team by the colors, pattern and logo. I really like the creative way that they designed the covers in support of any given team. I went Manchester United since they are not only the most popular team, but the color combo looked amazing with iGolfReviews gear and bags.
Headcover Options
There are essentially 5 headcover styles that most golfers use in their bag. Typically you will use 4 or 5 covers for: Driver, Fairway wood (or 2) Hybrid and Putter. Eagle Links Golf has you covered for each of those clubs and the optional mallet or blade putter headcover. Each one is designed in-house and then crafted with high quality PU Leather. The inside is lined with soft plush material so your clubs are protected. They have a nice shape and a little elastic band sewn in to keep the cover on the club. The putter covers use a strong magnet to keep the cover closed. I used mine for multiple rounds and found them to be very durable and functional. They also received numerous compliments about Manchester United.
Accessories
Headcovers are going to be the most noticable way for you to support your team, but their ball markers are really cool too. If you want a more subtle way of supporting your team, the “jersey” style ball markers fit the bill. They not only look cool, but they actually have a really good function for lining up the ball. When you put it down, if you use the collar of the jersey close to the ball and the body to point in the right direction, you can aid your alignment when you return the ball to the green. It is also a nice size and heft for keeping track of it in your pocket.
Apparel
Golf apparel has certainly changed over the last decade so if you have an actual team kit, most courses have loosed up their rules allowing you to wear it. But if you can’t Eagle Links Golf makes retro style golf polos that have a similar look to your team’s kit. The 1999 Manchester United Polo has a really nice fit to it, with short sleeves that have an elastic striped band for a snug fit and a soft fused collar that matches their retro kit design. Every team offers a different pattern and shirt style. I think they run a pretty standard European size which mean get one size bigger than you would in US sizing. I went L and it is a perfect fit.
Summary
Eagle Links Golf has 27+ Football teams that you can support from the pitch to the course. Their headcovers are top quality at a reasonable price. You can get a whole set for each club, along with other accessories and polos. For golfers around the world who are also fans of football, you can blend your two passion together with team gear from Eagle Links Golf.
