ECCO’s Best Shoe Yet With State-of-the-Art Lightweight Cushion
I walked, rode, swung, stood, sat, ran, moved, and worked in the ECCO LT1 Golf Shoes.
They are ECCO’s most comfortable shoes as well as one of their lightest.
The combination of lightweight and cushion made these my favorite new spikeless golf shoe.
This is my definitive ECCO LT1 Golf Shoes Review.
What is ECCO LYTR?
ECCO has been studying the natural motion of the foot while walking for years.
In order to make a shoe more comfortable, they needed a new material.
ECCO LYTR is the bounce and rebound foam cushion fused in the midsole of the ECCO LT1 Golf Shoes called FLUIDFORM technology.
Not only is it soft and responsive to each step, it is very light.
Their ability to make a lightweight shoe with so much cushion and support is really what sets these shoes apart for the competition.
Spikeless Dynamic Traction
The ECCO LT1 Golf Shoes connect to the ground via a new spikeless pattern.
ECCO really is the brand that put spikeless golf shoes on the map over a decade ago.
They continue to be a leader in spikeless technology.
These have a new tread pattern and “lug” design for even better motion and traction. ECCO Says, “The new E-DTS™ NET outsole is a fresh take on the E-DTS® design that offers multi-directional traction and durability.”
That means they offer better traction, yet the same spikeless comfort and durability we’ve come to love about ECCO spikeless shoes.
The new visible shank (arch support bar) also works great for the rigors of golf.
It flexes nicely for straight line walking while reducing the twist when swinging.
Breathable Waterproof Leather
The ECCO LT1 Golf Shoes have breathable waterproof leather uppers.
At first glance they don’t have that smooth leather look, but rather a perforated style leather.
It too is lightweight making these shoes comfortable and flexible right out of the box.
I’m impressed by how “cool” these shoes are in the AZ desert heat.
My feet really breath out, but thankfully don’t suck up any of the wet on the grass.
While we don’t see a ton of moisture in the desert, course run their irragation constantly trying to keep the grass green.
These shoes keep my feet dry and comfortable.
Performance
The ECCO LT1 Golf Shoes can be worn anywhere, but are especially nice on the golf course.
They are great for walking 18 holes in complete comfort. The lightweight shoes really reduce fatigue with each step.
The LYTR foam is so soft under foot and the new traction pattern really grips the turf whether it is wet or dry.
I like how these shoes feel close to the ground, flexible to really feel connected to the turf.
I like how they flexed for walking and yet were really stable for each swing, no matter how aggressive I got after it.
Summary
ECCO introduces a new shoe for 2024 that is a step forward in design and technology.
It still looks like a regular ECCO shoe, but the LT1 Golf Shoes are their most comfortable and lightweight shoe they’ve ever made.
The LYTR foam is legit as well as the breathable waterproof leather uppers.
Combine those features with excellent new dynamic traction and very good stability.
These are the best spikeless shoe so far in 2024.
These are not only a great golf shoes, but comfortable and lightweight to wear every day.
