The Best Putter Face Tech Just Got Better
Evnroll SweetFace technology has long been considered one of the best “groove” systems on putters for smooth, forgiving and accurate rolls.

I used this putter for the 1st time on a golf trip, and then brought it back home to find amazing success on every green I putted.

SweetFace 2.0
I couldn’t believe that SweetFace tech was 10 years old already.
I have used numerous Evnroll putters over the last decade that I really enjoyed and found success with on the greens, but none of them compared to the Evnroll Origin ER8 Putter.
The new SweetFace 2.0 face tech is legit.
This is the best putter Evnroll has ever made.
I made more putts and had lower scores for the 6 rounds that this putter has been in the bag.
While it just looks like simple wavy grooves on the face, it makes the ball roll forward, straight and consistent on every putt.

Forward Weights
Every model in the new Evnroll Origin line has forward weighting.
There are 2 large screw weights on the sole set just behind the face.
I found it perfect for balance and feel as the weight pushes directly through the ball at impact, not behind it like weight in the back.
They also keep the head extremely stable at impact so that the putter resists twisting.
While I know zero-torque is all the rage (yes I’m a big fan) but this putter was just as consistent and never wavered at impact.
Like many of the Evnroll putters of past, the Evnroll Origin ER8 Putter is made of 303 stainless steel.
The combination of weights, design and face make this their best feeling putter too.
I was blown away with how soft this one feel at impact. It was that perfect blend of soft yet crisp feel with a very solid sound at impact making the combination of weight, balance, feel and sound work in perfect harmony.
Easy Alignment
The Evnroll Origin ER8 Putter is a compact mallet design.
The square-back shape makes it look small enough behind the ball that blade user will like the appearance, while still getting the balance and alignment of a mallet.
I found the “long” alignment line down the back of the mallet made it very easy to align putts.
The 2 “invisible” dots on the top line also give the frame a sense of square to the line look.
I was impressed with the single bend shaft and compact mallet shape how easy it was to align the putter and then hit on the intended line.
Outstanding Performance
I shot my best 9 hole score (under par) in years with this putter in the bag.
I’ve also had the most consistently low scores I’ve shot in years while using this putter.
Some scoring isn’t exclusively the results of the Evnroll Origin ER8 Putter, but much of it has taken place on the greens.
I’ve been impressed with the strokes gained on the greens while using this putter.
I didn’t think any putter would budge a zero-torque putter from my hands, but this putter is so good, it is going to be hard move out of my gamer bag.
Reducing my overall putts on average by 2 strokes per round is the real deal.
Everything just seems to set up right with this putter: it fits my eyes for alignment, it is well balanced, and the consistent roll on every stroke gets the ball either in the hole or near the hole.
It is so much fun to see mid-length putts consistently fall into the cup and lag putts being so close that they are gimmes, while knee-knocker putts drop with confidence.
Summary
Guerin Rife did it again with the SweetFace 2.0 tech.
This putter face is the real deal for consistency, smooth, straight and accurate roll.
The face tech paired with a nicely balanced, easy to align, and great feeling compact mallet make this one outstanding combo.
The Evnroll Origin ER8 Putter is one of the best models for 2026. I know the year has just started, but the best face tech just got better.
