It is hoodie season.

This is the time of year you see more and more hoodies coming out ranging from a puffy quilted hoodie to a t-shirt like material with a hood.

Typically hoodies are reserved for cooler temps so that the long sleeves and hood can be put to proper use.

While not too long ago these might have been banned from golf courses; they now find their way into pro shops across the country.

Whether or not you’ve jumped on the hoodie bandwagon, we can all agree that they are here to stay.

Galway Bay did something rather interesting with their Tully Golf Hoodie: They made it super lightweight, breathable materials that offer UPF 50+ rating which allows this hoodie to be worn in the heat as well as the early fall cool temps.

I was impressed that I could wear it comfortably when it was hot and yet it served nicely when it cooled down too.

This isn’t your cold weather hoodie, but you nice weather hoodie that protects your skin and regulates your body temperature.

This is my definitive Galway Bay Tully Golf Hoodie Review.

Galway Bay Tully Golf Hoodie

Super Lightweight

From the people that make the best rain gear for golf, they make something for much nicer weather.

The Galway Bay Tully Golf Hoodie is some of the lightest and thinnest material that also has really good stretch making it wearable in the heat of summer as well as the cool early fall days.

You barely know you are wearing it, yet it is thick enough to wear on its own.

It is designed to offer sun protection and it does that really well.

The UPF 50+ means you can protect your skin with full coverage while not overheating.

UPF Sun protection

We hear about sunscreen and skin protection pretty regularly when it comes to golf.

Playing 18 over the span of 4 hours with the sun beating down on your skin is bound to cause some damage.

While sunscreen is usually the number one answer, the Galway Bay Tully Golf Hoodie is ever better.

It offer UPF 50+ and completely covers your upper body.

The hood gives you some extra next protection as well as the long sleeves covering your arms.

The concern is going to be overheating in something like this when trying to protect from the sun.

But as mentioned above, it is super lightweight and helps regulate body temperature.

Sleek Fit Benefits

The Galway Bay Tully Golf Hoodie is meant to fit close to the body.

I really like the sleek fit as it offer lots of stretch and the tighter fit is great for swinging.

I went a size up to a L with the slim fit. I also like that I could also wear it as a base layer when it gets even colder.

Even in the fall or cooler weather the sun can be intense in AZ.

Now I have a base layer that is comfortable, stretchy, fits close to the body and isn’t too hot.

This hoodie is so comfortable to golf in when the weather is nice and even when it gets a little cool.

Summary

The Galway Bay Tully Golf Hoodie is one that can be worn in nice weather just as comfortably as cooler weather.

The combination of comfort, stretch, style and skin protection make this a “must have” piece of golf apparel to offer sun protection and comfort.

Skin protection is no joke and having a hoodie like this that can work in a wide variety of nice weather condition from the heat to the cool is ideal for travel, is nice for both mid season as well as shoulder season.

You can’t go wrong with another great weather apparel piece from Galway Bay.
