Comfort and Convenience
The Heybike Mars 2.0 Ebike has a very comfortable and tall ride. I like that you don’t feel hunched over riding this bike with the tall handlebar stem and matching seat post. The 4″ by 20″ wheel make it easy to navigate any terrain street or trail. The front shocks absorb any bumps in the front. It is compact, but feels “big” when riding it. The handle bars have everything easily accessible for speed, scooter, brakes, lights, horn and display. The seat is soft with the addition stem shock and the pedals feel natural while riding.
It is pretty easy on and off with the lower center frame. It feels very sturdy and strong on both the road and the trail. The battery is under the seat making it balanced too so that you ride it at full speed and feel fulling in control at all times. The rear rack is big and strong for carry virtually anything you want on this bike, even golf clubs. (with additional Divnick rack)
Power and Function
There are 2 power options for the Heybike Mars 2.0 Ebike: 700W or 1000W. I went with the 1000W which also has a peak power of 1800W which puts more than enough output for climbing hills and getting up to speed quickly. The rear hub powers the bike along with 7-speed gears. The torque sensor allows the motor to match the pressure of your pedal to the output speed. It has 5 speed settings so you can control how fast you want to go.
It has a battery rated for 45 miles which will get you to and from most of your destinations while riding under normal conditions. Obviously the more power you use the shorter distance it will travel. The scooter mode is activated by a thumb throttle which is my favorite control method of ebikes. I could pedal this bike over 30 MPH making it pretty fast, especially on city streets. The big full color display makes it easy to see battery level, speed level and mph while riding.
Fold and Go
The Heybike Mars 2.0 Ebike is one of the most compact folded bikes you can buy. The frame folds in the middle paired with a folding stem makes this compact enough to put in the back of a car or truck. It is still on the heavy side around 75lbs, but transportable beyond just riding it out of your garage. This means you can pack for camping, load it up for a trail ride, take it to the golf course or use it as a commuter ride to and from your home. It offers a compact ride which allows smaller riders to enjoy it compared to some of the “big” Ebikes out there.
