I used to think that all sunglasses were basically the same with different styles; however I have learned that there is a huge variety of lenses that drastically alter what we see while wearing them.  Golf specific lenses are a real thing, and JONDO KRISP lenses are one of the darkest, yet most vibrant lenses I’ve used on the golf course.  If you want a combination of light reduction yet vibrant course views, these are the best sunglasses I’ve worn.

This is my definitive JONDO Club Champ Golf Sunglasses Review.

JONDO Club Champ Golf Sunglasses

The KRISP Difference?

The darkness of sunglasses is rated by percentage of light transmission meaning the lower the number the darker the lenses.  The JONDO Club Champ Golf Sunglasses have a 17% lenses which makes them one of the darkest I’ve ever worn for golf.  However the KRISP technology enhances the Red, Green and Blue spectrum by adjusting individual wavelengths to amplify the colors and tones of a golf course making everything appear more vibrant.  Essentially you get amazing eye protection from the bright sun without making the golf course look dull or dark, but actually making it pop.  I’ve found these perfect for the intense AZ sun.

“Golf” Sunglasses

The KRISP lenses make them golf specific, but a few other features make them perfect for golfers.  The thick anti-glare wings keep wind and glare out of the golfer peripheral vision.  They also make them really sturdy.  The TR90 frames are strong and lightweight making them comfortable to wear for all 18 holes.  The soft nose piece doesn’t pinch nor slide which keeps the sunglasses in place comfortably.  The hard case they come with makes it easy to travel with them and the soft case doubles as a lens wipe.  These enhance the golf experience by both reducing light and glare while making the contours of the golf course pop.

Style Options

JONDO boasts 10 different sunglasses options all of which have “golf” names like Dorme, Sandy, Gimme, and Club Champ.  I went with the Club Champ model with red highlights. The little bit of color looks sharp, especially when I wear the IGR hat.  However when scrolling the 10 different sunglasses, you might notice they all kind of look the same.  Each one is a casual golf style.  I hope that they can expand their offerings to other styles like sport frames and aviators.  The Club Champ Sunglasses look great, as do their other 9 frames, but they as all a pretty similar shape.

Summary

I wear sunglasses every time I golf. I like that JONDO made a dark lens, KRISP, that actually enhances the golf course.  I’m impressed by how vibrant the course looks while wearing these sunglasses.  They are also very comfortable and functional for 18 holes.  The JONDO Club Champ Golf Sunglasses are stylish enough to wear off the course too.  If you want something dark, these are the best I’ve used.  The KRISP lenses are legit for both light reduction, yet vibrant course views.
