It might surprise some of the readers here, but I don’t play golf 7 days a week. I’m guessing 99% of readers don’t either. You have lives that are busy going to the office, gym, meetings, appointments, dinner, shopping, travel, etc. Your life is busy with numerous activities other than golf. While we all love a good golf bag; a backpack that fits all 7 days of the week is even more useful and a more important investment.

Backpacks come in all shapes and sizes. KNKG offers backpacks sized 13L (3.4 gallon) to 38L (10 gallon). You can pick the bag that fits your lifestyle needs. I went with the KNKG Shift Backpack which is 27L (7 gallon) offering the perfect blend of space for everything I need each day, but compact enough it doesn’t look like I’m going for a hike in the mountains. It has space for my computer, cords, mouse, phone, keys, shoes, extra set of cloths, gym gear, water bottles, papers, golf gear, etc. I feel like it is just the right size to sling over one shoulder or wear as a backpack while still being able to function in a crowded space.
I also found this size the perfect companion when traveling. It pairs perfectly with a carry on bag to have everything I need for a hotel stay, business meetings, golf vacation, etc. It can withstand the roughest of baggage handlers or the “rip your bag apart” of airports screening. This bag is just the right size to fit under and airplane seat too, if there is no overhead bin storage left.

Convenient Storage
The KNKG Shift Backpack has 3 main pockets and 2 water bottle holders. This allows for separation of gear; keeping sweaty golf clothes away from office files or keeping things divided by use. The main compartment is large and has inner dividers and pockets so that I can put my computer in the back sleeve, my mouse in a zipper upper pocket and cords in the bottom.
The 2nd divided compartment has a sleeve too that I put in my tablet or file folders depending on my presentation or activity. The 3rd and smallest of the main compartment pockets works for a phone, mouse, wallet, keys, pens, business cards etc that has 2 divided pockets to keep things organized.
There is padding around the computer/tablet pockets and plenty of space for virtually everything you are going to need for the day at the gym, office, shopping, golf course, etc. It is big enough for large computers, yet smaller ones don’t feel loose in there either. The side bottle holders are great too because they are adjustable for your largest protein shaker or that 16oz water bottle. The side straps of the bag also allow for expanding or tightening up the overall size of the bag based on usage and need.
Waxed Canvas Style and Durability
I work in a professional environment that has me wearing a suit some days of the week, business casual other days of the week and some days I get to wear my golf clothes to the office. I need a bag that can go from a professional environment to a practical environment; from the office to the gym to the golf course. The KNKG Shift Backpack blends style with durability.
The tan waxed canvas looks great in any setting, but even more importantly can withstand any beating I dish out, guaranteed for 25 years. I’m only 25 days in, but no matter where I toss it, abuse it, wear it, stuff it, this backpack doesn’t show a single sign of wear. It will over time “weather” nicely, but that is by design. The stitching, zippers, straps, etc are rock solid.
Daily Function
The KNKG Shift Backpack lives with me; I carry it 7 days a week. I’ve received so many compliments about this bag’s style, but for me it is much more about the function. It is rugged, durable and functional. I find it easy to sling over a shoulder for quick in and out of the office to the car. I toss it on the front seat and it sits upright. I set it on the floor and I don’t have to worry about it, because it is well balanced. I can load it up to stuff full and still no worries.
The straps have just the right balance of padding and grip so that I can wear it comfortably for hours while traveling.The top grab handle gets a ton of use for quick pick up and usage but that too isn’t causing any problems for the bags shape or function. Everyday I’m opening and closing the zippers and they don’t bind or stick, but easy open and close. The back padding is ventilated and comfortable for wear too.
Summary
I use a backpack 7 days a week. I know that other golfers need something to keep up with their busy lifestyle that isn’t a golf bag. The KNKG Shift Backpack is durable, functional and stylish. This bag does everything you want with no worries about wear and tear. This backpack can take the abuse of golf, gym, office, trunk, etc. While KNKG offers numerous styles sizes and even materials, for me this was the perfect blend of everything I needed.
