L.A.B Golf has been the hottest putter company now for about 2 years and their Lie Angle Balance offering a zero torque experience when putting is the real deal.

Their first few models had some ugly duckling to them, but they have certainly improved in the looks category.

However they were all basically center shafted putters which personally had always been awkward for my eye.

I did adjust and found success with both the DF3 and OZ.1.

But the new L.A.B Golf OZ.1i HS Putter is their best model yet and the greatest putter for 2025.

The heel shaft makes all the difference for that “normal” factor I like while still being zero-torque.

This is my definitive L.A.B Golf OZ.1i HS Putter Review.

L.A.B. Golf OZ.1i HS Putter

Zero-Torque Putting

I am all-in on zero torque putters.

I’m going on 2 seasons now of playing some version of a torqueless putter.

L.A.B. Golf has been my favorite in that category.

I was certain that the DF3 was going to be my gamer, but the OZ.1 is just so clean looking.

But as mentioned above the center shaft version of those 2 putters always required extra concentration just to make sure I didn’t hit the ball out on the toe since I’ve been a life long heel shafted putter.

The L.A.B Golf OZ.1i HS Putter now offers all the weighting and zero-torque benefits of the other putters but in a more comfortable look and feel of a heel shaft.

OZ.1i (insert)

I’ve gamed the OZ.1i, the OZ.1 and now the OZ.1i HS putter.

As I’ve reviewed these 3 putters I originally liked the OZ.1 without the insert, but since moving to the L.A.B. Golf OZ.1i HS Putter I’ve found myself really liking the feel and speed of the insert.

I think that moving to the heel shafted putter I feel more natural with my swing which also seems to help my speed control.

I dialed in this putter almost immediately out of the box. I like the hotter face of the insert in this model and have had excellent distance control.

Maybe it is psychological, but lets be honest, most of putting is anyways.

Heel Shafted

The L.A.B. Golf OZ.1i HS Putter is similar to the OZ.1 putter but obviously as mentioned above the HS (heel shaft) makes a big difference.

The weighting is different so that moving the shaft location still offers zero torque.

The actual putter shape is slightly different too who the body is stepped down in the cavity.

The hosel or riser as they call it also attaches a little closer to the face which is also something I like.

The tall riser comes stock with a little forward press paired with the press pistol grip that gets the hands in the perfect position for every putt.

I found alignment with the T line is easy and natural.

Best Putter Performance

The L.A.B. Golf OZ.1i HS Putter is the best putter for 2025.

This putter has made more 1 putts than I can ever remember any putter making.

My average putts per round is also trending down making for lower scores.

It doesn’t matter where I roll putts: the IGR back yard putting green, the practice green at the course or the greening during my round; this putter makes putts.

I find myself confident over every putt.

That doesn’t mean I can’t still 3-putt with this putter, but the easy of alignment, the lack of torque and the natural feel of a heel shafted putter makes this the best putter for 2025.

Summary

The L.A.B. Golf OZ.1i HS Putter is the greatest putter. Period!

This zero-torque putter works with any putting stroke and feels the most natural for any golfer moving from a “traditional” putter to zero torque.

It looks amazing at address, it feels outstanding off the face and the results simply putt the ball in the hole.

If you order one directly from L.A.B. Golf you can customize the color, shaft, alignment, riser, etc.

There are 1000s of combinations you can choose from to make it personal.

Either way stock or custom, you are looking at the greatest putter of 2025. Period!
