From Yoga Pants to Golf Apparel: The Athleisure Giant Makes Outstanding Golf Apparel Too
lululemon and yoga pants are like peanut butter and jelly. They might be the most famous brand for creating the athleisure wear category. Over the years it has been known for its fabrics, its fit and the crossover ability to wear gym clothes on the street.
It makes perfect sense that there is lululemon Golf Apparel for both men and women. Their men’s like offers some of the most classic looks in golf, but make them with some of the most high tech fabrics I’ve worn. You already know the name for athleisure wear, now it is time to check out their golf apparel. I’m impressed by the classic look that is incredibly soft, moisture wicking and cut just right for golfers. It transitions easily from the course to casual for a high style, classic look.

Classic Style: Polo, Pants, Shorts
Do you prefer wild, sporty, mild or classic when it comes to your golf “look”? lululemon Golf Apparel offers the best classic look of any brand. While a white polo paired with grey short or pants might seem plain, when done well, it is a classic look that works perfectly on the course, but is also just as good in casual setting like the office or dinner. They also have a bolder look available in their golf like that is an oversized style that is pushing the boundaries some, but I think the classic look never goes out of style and lululemon does it perfectly.
High Tech Materials
I’ve reviewed so many golf apparel brands that claim to have “special” materials only to find out that they are the exact same as the next golf polo. However when lululemon Golf Apparel says that they use/created high tech materials in their line, they actually mean it. They have a unique blend in their Evolution Golf Polo which has a “zero stink” zinc so that you can wear this golfing and then straight to dinner without smelling like the course. It is impressive how cool, comfortable and stylish this material is.
The pants and shorts are from their ABC line which also have a water resistant, stretch, and abrasion resistant. Essentially these are super durable and functional on the golf course not matter what the weather or the conditions throw at you. The material makes all the difference with a good fit and even better function.
Fit
lululem Golf Apparel is known for their style and classic, athletic look, but that doesn’t mean you need to be 6’5″ tall with 2% body fat. They offer slim and classic fits so that even some of us who aren’t model material can still wear them comfortably for playing golf. I loved the fact that these fit well without being tight. The classic look and fit simply never go out of style with this polo and shorts. (the pants are perfect on cooler days too.)
I did go up a size on the polo based on their sizing charts, but that isn’t uncommon for me to be in a size L. The shorts and pants are perfect in my regular 34″ waist. The fit is still really good in the shoulders and chest so that the sleeves never need adjusting while playing. The stretch is ample in both the tops and bottoms for just the right blend of stretch but form so that they look good relaxed and in action.
Performance
lululemon Golf Apparel comes from an athleisure brand to the golf course so you know that performance is their first priority. The high tech material along with their fit allows these apparel pieces to move comfortable during the swing, wick moisture away from the body, keeping it cool and comfortable. I don’t know if golf apparel can help lower your scores, but I just went back to back rounds of some of my best scoring this season while wearing this brand. It may simply be coincidence, but this apparel is really comfortable and I love the classic look.
Summary
There are a whole lot of golf apparel options out there and lululemon Golf Apparel is one of the best you can buy. It might be kind of an investment in a classic look, but worth the high tech durable fabrics along with the great fit and performance. I really enjoy wear this brand for comfort, style and performance. Everyone needs a good classic white polo in their closet and this is my favorite one. You might only think of this brand for yoga pants, but let me tell you the golf apparel line is outstanding.
