I am a spikeless shoe golfer through and through.

I find the seamless transition from car to course and back to car appealing, plus the smooth walk, even while golfing of spikeless shoes is perfect for my game.

So when I heard that Payntr created a spikeless version of my favorite spiked golf shoes I couldn’t wait to try them.

However they sold out the first time around and look to be selling out again.

The Payntr Match Day SC Golf Shoes are the spikeless version of the Payntr Eighty Seven SC Golf Shoes.

They were co-designed by Jason Day giving them a true “Tour” influence.

These are one of the best spikeless golf shoes and keep selling out for a reason.

This is my definitive Payntr Match Day SC Golf Shoes Review.

Payntr Match Day SC Golf Shoes

Jason Day’s Tour Influence Now Spikeless

While Tour Pros love the “grippier” traction of spiked golf shoes, for many amateur golfers spikeless offer plenty of traction for our weekly 18 holes.

However, Tour players put their shoes through far more punishment than the regular golfer.

I know they have access to new shoes pretty much whenever they want, but right out of the box they need to perform just as well as they do after walking 72 holes.

The new Payntr Match Day SC Golf Shoes offer the perfect balance of all things that tour and amateur golfers need: a comfortable walk, support, good flex, lightweight, waterproof and now spikeless.

CARBITEX, PMXNitro+, and TPU Outsole

Starting where the rubber hits the road(grass) the Payntr Match Day SC Golf Shoes are spikeless for daily comfort.

The variety of lugs, triangles, nubs and “spikes” make this flexible and grippy outsole perfect.

The CARBITEX GearFlex™️is the foot plate that is stiff yet flexes just enough to return energy into each step.

The balance of lightweight, firm flex, means that your shoe resists twisting, but doesn’t get heavy and flexes just enough on each step.

The PMXNitro+ is the dual cushion layer that keeps the walk light and soft.

The impact on ankles, knees and hips while walking 18 holes and swinging is significant.

The midsole and footbed by PMXNitro+ help reduce impact.

CLARINO Trivela™️ and ARIAPRENE®

CLARINO Trivela™️and ARIAPRENE® are the upper materials that replace traditional leather.

These microfiber uppers and tongue look like leather, but perform better.

They have a breathability that is awesome in the AZ desert, while still being waterproof when we have wet conditions.

What impressed me the most is how little these shoes changed from 1st hole to 72nd hole.

Leather tends to require break-in.

These were ready to go right out of the box, but then remained the same fit without stretching over time and use.

These microfiber materials paired with waterproof membranes make these shoes ready to take on any course conditions.

On-Course Performance

While the Payntr Eighty Seven SC golf shoes almost had me convinced to wear spiked golf shoes, I don’t nee to because I now I have the spikeless version of them in the Payntr Match Day SC Golf Shoes.

I love them for golf use as well as daily wearing them to the office or running errands or anytime they look good with pants or shorts.

The spikeless sole is smooth, flat, and quiet so that no one knows I’m wearing golf shoes.

When I get tot he course, they are super comfortable for the walk and offer plenty of traction.

The support, the comfort, the waterproof, the style, and now spikeless are why these shoes keep selling out.

Summary

Jason Day and Payntr designed a legit tour shoe in a spiked or spikeless version.

They offer everything from traditional looks to high tech performance and features.

Payntr uses a whole bunch of new materials and design features that create an awesome pair of golf shoes that offer right out of the box comfort that doesn’t change over time, excellent support from a lightweight shoe, and really good spikeless traction.

It isn’t just Jason Day’s name attached to the Payntr Match Day SC Golf Shoes that makes them sell out, but the performance.
