PRUNGO FluxGo Red Light Therapy Review
Can Light Really Be Used For Healing and Recovery?
Injuries, aches and pains can hold golfers back from playing their best or even playing at all.
It isn’t just an age thing, pain can strike any golfer and keep them from the course. Stiffness, soreness and pain in knees, elbows, wrists, shoulders and backs are some of the more common ailments that golfers struggle with.
Popping some Advil before a round of golf is pretty common, but what if there was a drug free way to relieve joint or muscle plain?
PRUNGO FluxGo Red Light Therapy is a portable, wearable, 3 module unit that uses medical grade red light to target pain and inflammation and penetrates beyond the skin to reduce muscle and joint pain.
I entered this review pretty skeptical of this treatment, but as someone who suffers wrist pain regularly and once and while has stiffness in the back, I thought it would be worth the try.
So can light really help with pain and recovery?
This is my definitive PRUNGO FluxGo Red Light Therapy Review.

Who Is Red Light Therapy For?
I think all golfers suffer from aches, pains, stiffness and fatigue.
While the older you get the more pronounced those are, I hear from younger golfers about all their struggles too.
I think even if you are in really good shape and work out regularly, your muscles and joints experience wear and tear from golf.
If you would prefer therapy instead of Advil and/or other “drugs” for pain relief, the PRUNGO FluxGo Red Light Therapy is perfect for you.
The 3 module set and multiple strap options allow you to target virtually any painful, achy, stiff muscle or joint in your body with 1, 2 or 3 modules for red light therapy.

What Pain Can PRUNGO Reduce?
I have 2 areas of pain and stiffness that regularly flare up: right wrist and lower back.
I injured my right wrist playing college football and ever since then I’ve had reduced flexibility as well as constant stiffness and pain.
My lower back is much more of an off and on sort of stiffness that randomly spikes depending on my workout or wrong movement.
This allowed me to test the PRUNGO FluxGo Red Light Therapy as a single module and/or the 3 modules to target different areas of muscle and joint pain.
You can pretty much use these anywhere on your body that you can figure out the straps to hold the “computer mouse” size modules touching your skin so that they right light can penetrate deep into your tissue and joints.

Using FluxGo…
The PRUNGO FluxGo Red Light Therapy is about as easy to use as it gets.
Once you figure out the straps and how many modules you are going to use, it is preset for mild, mid and strong.
This is essentially a timer of intensity for how long the unit will be on.
You don’t really feel anything when they are on, except maybe a touch of warmth from the red light, but it is very minimal, at best, even on strong.
Each module can be used about 3 times on strong before needing a recharge in the case.
If you use them for the same area of your body, I just left the straps attached between uses.
The whole package easily fits in your golf bag if you want to use it prior to the round or if you are traveling.
This helped me reach my goal of using it almost every day for a full month on my wrist to see if it helped.
I also used it multiple times on my back when I noticed stiffness.
I only used it if there was pain, not trying to prevent pain. I would simply put it on and then go about whatever task I had for the day.
I could wear it around the house, outside, driving, working, etc.

Does It Actually Work?
Did I mention I was skeptical? Can shining a little light on my wrist actually help with pain? YES!
I was shocked how much the pain was reduced. I didn’t necessarily regain range of motion, but it certainly reduced the joint pain that I constantly live with in my wrist.
Even after some intense inflammation of wrist pain, it went down quickly after only a few uses. Daily application of PRUNGO FluxGo Red Light Therapy reduced my wrist pain significantly.
I also used it on my lower back and after multiple treatments it reduced the pain and stiffness there too.
It isn’t the same as taking a couple Advil and numbing the pain; it requires constant and consistent use to reduce inflammation, but it also lasts way longer than 4 hours.
You can get days of relief if you use it regularly. Think of it as therapy, not medicine.

Summary
I went into this review as skeptical as you are reading it, but after a month of constant therapy on my painful wrist, I can confidently say that I have less pain.
The PRUNGO FluxGo Red Light Therapy works to reduce pain and inflammation.
It gets deep into the joint and tissue. You can do it on your schedule, whenever and wherever you want.
It reduces common aches, pains and stiffness in joints and muscles that golfer deal with on a regular basis.
It is therapy, not medicine, so consistent use is important if you want relief. A side note, it is great for your skin in that area too.
I’ve tried other pain relieving devices before, this is the first one that actually works.
