PXG Xtreme Tour and Tour X Golf Balls Review
Vote For Your Favorite of PXG’s 2 Premium Golf Balls For Your Needs
I received 2 boxes of PXG Xtreme Tour and Tour X Golf Balls which I used simultaniously for multiple rounds of golf and FlightScope testing in the iGolfReviews Office by Carl’s Place DIY Golf.
I was impressed by these premium golf balls and cast my vote for the one that fit my game the best, but was impressed by the other as well.
Both golf balls compare with other top tier golf balls: you just need to vote on which ball best fits your game: Tour or Tour X.
This is my definitive review of PXG Xtreme Tour and Tour X Golf Balls.

2 Balls > 1 Ball
PXG entered the golf ball market 1 year ago now with a single premium ball to rule them all.
It was a great ball and held its own against the other premium golf balls out there.
It did everything well, but since most golfers want either either the softer feel and lower spin or firmer feel with higher spin, it left them uncertain if the PXG Xtreme Premium Golf Ball was the best fit for them.
The new PXG Xtreme Tour and Tour X Golf Balls now lines up with what golfers are accustomed to buying: Tour or Tour X.
I think this change will help golfers cast their vote for their favorite PXG ball.

Tour
The PXG Xtreme Tour Golf Ball is designed to directly compete with the ProV1.
It is the softer of the two golf balls, lower spin and lower launch off long clubs, while higher spin around the greens.
It is going to offer great feel and all around performance.
I was impressed with how well this golf ball performed for me under all conditions.
They also offer this golf ball in yellow if you prefer to play a premium ball, but not white.

Tour X
The PXG Xtreme Tour X Golf Balls are the ones I voted that best fit for me.
They are the firmer ball with higher spin which surprisingly is the best fit for my game.
While I think I like the softer feel and usually need lower spin for everything, the scores and results said that the Tour X is the best fit for my game.
I had a lower scoring average by a couple strokes comparing the Tour X to the Tour.
The high launch held the greens really nice, and the higher launch seemed to carry down the fairways just a little bit longer.
I think the firmer cover helped with my higher swing speeds to maximize the speed I was getting off my driver.
The Tour X gets my vote for the best new ball in 2024.

PXG Golf Ball Features
Both PXG Xtreme Tour and Tour X Golf Balls comes with a really nice alignment aid that can be used for lining up putts or target line for drives.
While other balls have this or you can draw an alignment line on with a Sharpie, this is a very function way to brand the golf ball for Parsons Xtreme Golf.
I liked the look and appreciated its function on the course.

$33/Dozen
The PXG Xtreme Tour and Tour X Golf Balls offer one of the best values in premium golf balls on the market.
While PXG’s list price is $50/dozen, their current promotion of buy 2 get 1 free means each dozen is only $33.
This is one of the best deals on golf balls right now.
Vote which model is the best fit for you and order up an incredible deal on premium golf balls.

Summary
The PXG Xtreme Tour and Tour X Golf Balls can compete with any top tier golf ball on the market.
You need to decide which model is best for your game; I vote Tour X for my swing.
At the current promotional price it is hard to beat the value too.
I think going to the two ball model was a good move for PXG to better fit what golfers need and want: Feel, Launch, Spin and Results based on their needs.
