Rypstick Swing Speed Training Aid Review
Grip It and Ryp It For Faster Swing Speed In Just A Couple Minutes A Week
Everybody loves the long ball. Even if we know the phrase “drive for show, putt for dough”
We still want the show! The Grip It and Rip It motto is loved by golfers for a reason.
However, the only way to hit it further, you need to swing faster and the easiest path to faster swing speed is speed training.
The Rypstick Swing Speed Training Aid has 4 different weights and a training program you do a few minutes a day only a few times a week and in a month or so you will start seeing results.
This is my definitive Rypstick Swing Speed Training Aid Review.

4 Clubs in 1
Speed Training is built around a muscle model that requires different weighted clubs to train(trick) muscles to swing faster.
The Rypstick has a revolver like weight system at the end that has 2 lightweight options, 1 regular weight and then a 4th heavy weight.
It is one club, but with the 4 different weight options makes it really efficient.
You can also use the back weight/counterbalance for your training too.
I personally didn’t like the additional 60grams on the grip even if there are benefits to training.
The weights slide in and out quickly and easily and dropping them all in for storage means you don’t have to worry about losing weights.
The White 45″ shaft feels like a stiff flex no matter which weight combo you use.

App Workout
The Rypstick Swing Speed Training Aid comes with an app that will guide you through the training process.
It has videos to help guide your swings.
What is a freezer?
Or how long to I pause between swings? When do I switch weights? Am I making an progress?
This is all seemlessly answered in the app as you click on it each time you training.
It has a calendar and progress report that you can access at anytime to stay on track.
I couldn’t find a way to jump ahead either to skip the early training sessions to get to more advanced ones.
I like it so golfers don’t try to skip the progressing of training, but as someone who was already swing training, I would have liked to tried some of the most advanced training.
There is also a cool video section on swing fixes which means your new swing speed will hit the ball straighter too.
If you don’t have a way to measure your swing speed I recommend adding their swing radar to your purchase so you can track progress.

Audio Feedback and Results
The Rypstick offers audio feedback on each swing.
Normally when you swing a club you hear the crack at impact.
The Rypstick offers a “whistle” sounds through impact.
It isn’t bad and encourages swinging hard.
I think it is a mental trick, but it works.
The more I swung the Rypstick, the more I wanted to swing faster.
I’ve been using the Rypstick for 2+ weeks and I’m seeing small progress.
If you read their results “guarantee”, you’ll note that speed is not gained overnight, but months of training are required to really notice the additional speed on the course.
But even though the results take time, the training only takes 15 minutes, 3 times a week.
So for 3 hours a month, you can gain a few mph each month which translates into 10+ yards depending on your baseline and progress.
That is legit!!

Summary
The Rypstick Swing Speed Training Aid isn’t the only swing speed trainer out there, but they use some different exercises and have an all-in-one club that is convenient and effective.
The knit headcover is a nice touch.
The audio feedback on each swing is psychologically encouraging too.
I found myself drawn to the Rypstick as I’m working on gaining speed so I can Grip It and Ryp It.
