Srixon ZXi LS Driver Review
Intelligent Low Spin is Straight, High, and Forgiving
Low Spin drivers are pretty much a requirement in every golf companies line-up.
High swing speeds require a reduction of spin to get the most out of each drive.
However, the way that a company attacks the design can have varying results for golfers.
The new Srixon ZXi LS Driver offers an intelligent approach to low spin with straight, high and forgiving results.
It is an all-titanium design which also means it is on the louder side of modern drivers.
I’ve bagged the ZXi LS driver for 5 rounds and hit most of the fairways during each round.
I also tested it in the iGR Office by Carl’s Place DIY Simulators and found the numbers to be consistent with the on-course results. ย
This is my official Srixon ZXi LS Driver Review.

ZXi = Intelligent
The new ZXi line from Srixon is really about refinement and intelligence.
I found the new ZXi LS driver to do low spin with balance.
If spin goes too low it loses its benefits of maximizing high speed swings if they don’t find the fairway.
The sole design is elongated with one weight pushed way back and one forward.
This allows for intelligent adjustability along the straight line for straight dives weight forward or back.
I kept the weight forward because I wanted the lowest spin and still had no issues launching the ball.
For me the big key to this driver was finding so many fairways.

Titanium Loud
The Srixon ZXi LS Driver is one of the last all titanium drivers on the market.
Almost everyone has gone to some version of carbon in the crown, body or face.
However, Srixon stuck with all titanium in this one and it performs just as good as any carbon made driver, just a little louder.
I think this would have been a completely normal sounding driver 10 years ago, but today we are so used to muted sounds that this one is pretty loud.
Not obnoxious or bad, just louder than most.
However that titanium crack was matched with hot feel and excellent results.

Low Spin
Low Spin is a relative term usually meaning it is lower spinning than the brands “regular” driver.
The Srixon ZXi LS Driver is lower spin, but not lowest spin.
As I mentioned above the Srixon version of low spin is intelligently done so that you can maximize fairways similarly to lowering spin for distance.
I never hit my longest drives with the ZXi LS but I think my fairways hit paired with distance was pretty darn amazing.
Would you want 290 on 11 of 14 fairways or 300 and 8 of 14 fairways?
I think golfers should be careful chasing pure distance over intelligent distance.
Because the low spin isn’t crazy low, this driver should fit a larger audience too.

i-Flex Forgiveness
The Srixon ZXi LS Driver has their newest i-Flex face which is super duper forgiving.
I hit the ball all over the face and the results were virtually the same on every drive.
The forgiveness was both ball speed and directional.
This club was all about finding fairways while still going a consistent distance.
The i-Flex face has a super hot feel which was very rewarding on every drive.
The face is also laser milled which Srixon claims helps stabilize spin and improve contact when wet.
I didn’t have any wet rounds in AZ, but I did notice really consistent spin.

On-Course Performance
The Srixon ZXi LS Driver is really solid for golfers looking to maximize their distance while at the same time still finding the fairway.
I’ve watched guys (and even been one of those guys) that kind of plays the “bomb and gauge” style of golf by trying to squeeze every inch out of their driver, even if it misses the fairway.
Even if I didn’t hit my longest drives ever with the Srixon ZXi LS Driver, I found myself with scoring opportunities more often because I had a short iron in hand attacking pins from the middle of the fairway instead of trying to flop a wedge over a tree out of the rough.
I also found this 9* club pretty easy to launch so that driver were towering hits that went straight and still hit the ground with some roll.
The stock Project X HAZRDUS Black is also a good low spin and consistent shaft.

Summary
Srixon brought Intelligence to the new ZXi LS driver. I’ve been impressed by fairways hit, easy launch and long, low spin drives.
It might not be the longest or lowest spinning, but finding more fairways is going to result in lower scores.
It is on the loud side with its all titanium design, but the adjustable weights and hosel allow you to dial it in for the best results.
The i-Flex face and Rebound frame were super forgiving in the low spin model.
The combination of features means high, long, straight drives that find fairways.
I think golfers would benefit from taking an intelligent approach to drivers and their results.
Srixon made one intelligent driver in the ZXi LS Driver.
