The Sun Mountain ClubGlider3 Travel Bag is not only the best travel bag you will ever use but it makes traveling easier, better, and stylish. The new material and design means that you can travel with confidence that you know where your bag is, what it looks like and it will safely get your clubs from home to destination and back again.

ClubGlider3 Leg Mechanism
This is the one feature that sets the Sun Mountain ClubGlider3 Travel Bag apart from all other travel bags. All travel bags have 2 wheels on them, some now even have 4 on the base, but this one is the only bag with a folding leg mechanism with 2 wheels on the bottom of the legs for standing and rolling this travel bag with ease, even when fully loaded. It is essentially like stand bag legs on wheels for a travel bag. They pull down to deploy and then return into the base of the bag with another pull down. The mechanism is pretty tight, but that is ok considering the abuse travel bags take.
Once the legs are out, this bag rides at the perfect angle for pulling through the airport from your car to the counter or from baggage claim to the rental car. When you need to put them in the trunk or get them ready for the plane the legs fold bag into the back/base of the travel bag so that they won’t catch on anything during travel. The bag will stand nicely without the legs down too.

ClubGlider3 Size
There are currently 3 sizes of Sun Mountain ClubGlider travel bags: ClubGlider3, Meridian and Pro. The ClubGlider3 is slightly bigger than the Meridian being just a touch wider and longer. I think this combo offer just enough extra space that cart bags fit a little better and allows for a few extra items to be packed into your travel bag. If you want to smallest and lightest: then Meridian, and if you need maximum space, then go Pro. The ClubGlider3 is the “goldilocks” between the three bags. I love the size for my cart bag and gear that I pack for my golf trip. Yet is still folds in half for easy storage in a closet.
Better Club Protection
The Sun Mountain ClubGlider3 Travel Bag has the best club protection with their upgraded materials and design. The formed and shaped pads around the clubhead area offers superior impact protection while the new ripstop 900D polyester can withstand the most abusive baggage handler. They added more durable zippers and straps to keep everything securely in your travel bag. The TSA lock means that you can keep the contents secure from prying eyes. The solid base remains one of the best ways of protecting the lower part of your bag too.
I still recommend a brace or arm or something to keep the top of the bag stiff so that your driver is protected or even just the shaft if you take your clubs apart for travel. Another little feature is a space built in for an AirTag so that you can track your bag to and from our destination.
Easier Travel
The Sun Mountain ClubGlider3 Travel Bag allows you to travel easily right at the weight limit for checked bags. I fill this thing up right to the 50lbs limit with clubs, gear, clothing and whatever else I need for the trip. The leg mechanism makes it super easy to maneuver 50lbs through any crowd at the airport. You can pull on the top easily even with a backpack and another suitcase. You can’t say that with other travel bags as the handle cuts into your hand and your shoulder gets really tired if it is a long walk from baggage claim to the rental car.
Summary
I will only travel with a Sun Mountain ClubGlider3 Travel Bag from now on because it is the best travel bag making airport navigation easier, better and more stylish. I love their new 8 color combinations and highly recommend getting something other than a plain black one so that when you get to baggage claim, you can quickly and easily spot your bag. The Aurora Red/Steel/Cadet combo looks outstanding. While other travel bags might get your clubs safely to their destination too, the ClubGlider3 is by far the easiest and safest way to do it. Make your golf trip easier, better, more confident and more stylish.
