TaylorMade Qi35 LS Driver Review
Can The Quest for Low Spin, High Launch and Forgiveness Fit Your Needs?
TaylorMade has long been known for pushing innovation with their drivers.
The quest to be the best driver in the game constantly leads to new materials and new designs.
The Qi35 LS Driver is aimed at high swing speed golfers looking to lower spin, maintain launch and still have ample forgiveness.
The real question is was the quest successful?
I’ve gamed the TaylorMade Qi35 LS Driver for 4 rounds this spring with great success finding fairways and hitting bombs.
I also did some controlled environment testing in the iGR Office by Carl’s Place Simulator.
If you are looking to lower spin, increase launch and find fairways in 2025, you should consider getting fit for this driver.
This is my definitive TaylorMade Qi35 LS Driver Review.

Adjustable Weight Roots
The TaylorMade Qi35 LS Driver has 3 weight ports for additional control of launch and spin.
In the stock configuration they come 2 lighter weights up front and a heavy weight deep in the back.
This certainly helps raise the launch, but also offer more adjustability than the Qi10 did.
The weights are further apart having a greater impact on the ball flight.
The look is classic TaylorMade and the performance can be altered by moving the weights around based on your needs.
I kept the heavy weight back for max forgiveness and launch.

So Much Carbon = Face and Body
TaylorMade is all-in on Carbon Face technology.
They also have almost the entire club body made of carbon with only some specifically designed weight ports, slot technology and hosel sleeve of 3 other materials. This allows them the manipulate the weight for their exact design needs.
The Carbon Twist Face continues to be very hot and very forgiving without loosing much ball speed on off center hits.
The crown is sleek, unique and one of the best looking TaylorMade drivers.
The carbon sound is very pleasant and solid at impact.
They used a lot of carbon, but it works well.

Low Spin but High Launch?
The TaylorMade Qi35 LS Driver is a low spin driver, but this year they went a little higher launch.
This 9.0 head had no problem hitting high shots paired with low spin.
I was surprised by the towering shots that I hit drive after drive.
This has long been said to be the formula for the best drives: high launch and low spin.
They certainly raised the launch compared to the Qi10 LS driver.
The spin isn’t the lowest of drivers in 2025, but certainly low.
I think moving some weight forward could impact that, but with the high launch and forgiveness I’m not going to chase a few 100rpms lower spin.

Summary
The TaylorMade Qi35 LS Driver set out to offer a low spin, higher launch and forgiving driver.
They accomplished that feat by using a whole bunch of carbon, adjustable weights, multi-material and put it in a great looking package.
If you get this driver dialed into your needs it can really be impressive off the tee.
The high bombs that go straight with good roll out are very pleasing to watch on repeat.
It still might fall on the too low spin for some golfers and not as forgiving as needed by others, but it certainly isn’t just for low handicap golfers, it fits many golfers’ needs in terms of launch and forgiveness.
