TaylorMade Qi4D LS Driver Review
More Speed = Longest Driver
TaylorMade went back to the drawing board for 2026 to create their fastest driver yet.
The tour players were not the biggest fans of last year’s model, many even opting for the prior year’s model as their gamer.
The TaylorMade Qi4D LS Driver is their fastest and longest driver.
I hit my longest driver of 2026 so far with it and have found in my testing that this driver is a distance machine.
Whatever they did, they did it right for getting pure distance out of this club.
I gamed it for 6 rounds, hit it at the range, and tested it on the iGR Office by Carl’s Place DIY Simulators.
This is my definitive TaylorMade Qi4D LS Driver Review.

Redesigned For Speed
In order to get faster, TaylorMade went back to the drawing board for 2026 and redesigned their drivers to be faster.
Tour pros and amateurs gained roughly 1.5mph per swing with the TaylorMade Qi4D LS Driver.
While that doesn’t seem like much it does translate in a few extra yards.
You might not be picking huge yardage gains, but over the course of time, that extra speed paired with extra distance will be noticeable as approach shots become one club shorter.
The 60X Carbon Twist Face offers fast ball speeds for this fast head.
Plus the Speed Pocket retains speed for low on the face shots.

LS For Low Spin
I am always fighting spin with my driver. I’ve been fit numerous times, I’ve worked on my swing, and I always end up needing the lowest spin driver a company makes to maximize my swing speed.
The TaylorMade Qi4D LS Driver is the lowest spin version of their new model.
The weights are adjustable to go lowest spin possible or low spin, but increased launch and forgiveness.
I went heavy weight back to pick up a little more forgiveness off the tee.
However, it still is one of the lowest spinning heads in 2026.

Adjustable Weights For Launch and Spin
TaylorMade remains the king of adjustable weights.
As the OG of the technology, they remain committed to offering adjustable weights that can manipulate the launch and spin of the driver head.
The TaylorMade Qi4D LS Driver has 2 weights on the center axis that are far back and far forward.
While the absolute lowest spin is forward, I went with the heavy weight back so I could get the most forgiveness.
It still had low spin, but certainly helped find the fairway more often.
I really liked the feel to with the weight in the back pushing through the head through the ball.

Tour Validation
We all know that tour players don’t play the exact same driver that us regular golfers do, but there is still value in clubs being validated on tour.
Almost ever TaylorMade staffer jumped into the Qi4D driver and has stuck with it so far in 2026.
That is important to see their success with this new line.
I also saw a major improvement in the TaylorMade Qi4D LS Driver compared to previous models.
This was the longest driver I hit in 2026.
My longest drive of the year was 327 yards that I hit last week.
It isn’t only that one drive, but consistently long off the tee has been what makes this driver impressive.
Another new move by TaylorMade is re-categorizing shafts based on rotation rather than launch or kick points.
How the club rotates at impact is determined by certain swing characteristics.
The REAX shaft line offers High, Mid and Low Rotation which has to do more with your swing transition than speed, launch or spin.
They have a great video that helps explain this.
I am a mid rotation with a fairly neutral swing release.

Summary
TaylorMade brought the speed in 2026.
There is a reason all their tour pros are switching to this model.
The Qi4D LS model is the most compact and lowest spin model.
I found it to be a great fit for my needs of low spin.
It is the longest driver I hit in 2026 (so far).
While it might not be the most forgiving driver, you can pick up some help by moving the heavier weight to the back.
The increase of speed mean an increase of length off the tee. There is a reason we named this the longest driver for 2026.
