I don’t leave home without a pair of sunglasses. The AZ sun is intense and requires eye protection every day. Not only is protection from UV rays something I value, I also need to keep the wind and dust out of my eyes. The new Tifosi Optics Sanctum XL Sunglasses are bigger and more stylish for the most protection you can have without wearing goggles. What makes these sunglasses even better is that they won’t break the bank. At less than the cost of a dozen golf balls, you can get exactly what you need for 18 holes of golf in AZ or as a daily pair for style and protection.

This is my definitive Tifosi Optics Sanctum XL Sunglasses Review.

XL Style

How big is too big? Tifosi Optics decided that 25% bigger was still wearable and stylish for the new Sanctum XL Sunglasses. I’ll be honest this wasn’t a style I gravitated toward, but surprisingly really like the look of these glasses on my face. They are big, the biggest I own, but they are on point with current sunglasses trends. They come in 6 frame colors with corresponding lenses colors. I went with the satin clear frames paired with silver mirror lenses. The style matched any hat or any apparel I was sporting so it made it a no-brainer to wear these glasses whenever I wanted. While sporty in nature, they can still work in a “fancy” setting.

XL Protection

My sunglasses are used for protection from wind and dust as much as they are sunlight. The Tifosi Optics Sanctum XL Sunglasses offer the best protection of any pair I’ve ever worn. At 25% bigger they cover all the way around my eyes and wrap along the sides. These are the closest to goggles you can get without sealing to your face. The lenses eliminate distortion making them crystal clear looking up or down or side to side which is great when golfing. It also means the frames are never in sight no matter what you are looking at, again a really nice feature when putting.

XL Comfort

These are XL, but yet super lightweight and comfortable to wear for 18 holes. They have that nice balance of a snug fit so they don’t slide around, but not tight so that they pinch. I really liked the fit so that I could swing as hard as I wanted to and they never moved, but I also didn’t rush to take them off, I could wear them virtually all day long and never really notice. The nose piece isn’t adjustable, but didn’t seem necessary as they fit well and didn’t slide around.

Summary

The Tifosi Optics Sanctum XL Sunglasses retail for $39.99 which is less than a dozen ProV1s. Why not add a pair of sunglasses to your rotation that offer more protection, more style at an affordable price. You might even gravitate more and more to wearing these, especially if it is windy or dusty. If you are looking to XL you style, then check these out. While these sunglasses might be golf specific, they offer great protection and clarity for golfing. You can wear them everyday for comfort and protection all while keeping up with the most popular style. If you need a new pair of sunglasses, check out Tifosi for style and protection at an reasonable price.
