Tour Edge Exotics C722 3-Wood Review
The Sole is the Engine of Straight Shots

I played 8 rounds of golf with the Tour Edge Exotics C722 3-wood in my bag. It is a titanium 3-wood with features galore: Carbron crown, adjustable hosel, 90gram tungsten sole wieght, ryzersole technology and diamond face. Shots are long, straight and low spin. This combo is outstanding. I hit it on my FlightScope Xi Tour Launch Monitor to collect shot data. I have over 10 years of experience testing and reviewing golf clubs.
Here is my overall experience and thoughts on this 3-wood.
While often times shafts are called the engine of a club, which has some validity, but in the Tour Edge Exotics C722 3-wood, the sole is the engine of this club. Everything really starts with the 90 gram tungsten sole weight which is part of the 3 piece Ryzersole. Everything about this club is generated from that low mass which controls launch, spin, feel and accuracy. It really makes this club special. If you want one of the straightest 3-woods I’ve ever hit, this club should certainly be a top choice to test. The combo of high launch, low spin and straight, make it a great combo for almost any level of golfer.
The Tour Edge Exotic C722 3-Wood is considered their “players” 3-wood, but don’t fear, it is actually one of the easiest to hit 3-wood out there. The 3-parts of the Ryzersole make it easy to hit from any lie and get consistent results. The Ryzersole is based off a “rudder” like design which creates a central raise in the sole which helps with turf interaction. It also causes the club to sit perfectly square at address. The weight plate extends from leading edge to trailing edge and drops the CG low. The combo means high launch and low spin. It even has an adjustable weight screw for even more weight low.
The Tour Edge Exotics C722 3-wood also uses Titanium and Carbon Fiber for the rest of the club’s body. These materials haven’t always been used in 3-woods. (to be fair Tour Edge has been using them for quite some time hence the name exotics) The Diamond VFT titanium face is super hot. It feels like a driver at impact. The rest of the body being carbon fiber means there is virtually no weight “above the equator” of this club. This 3-wood has driver features, but very specific designed for 3-wood needs.
The Tour Edge Exotics C722 3-wood is even better on the course than on paper. It checks off all the boxes of what a 3-wood should do: high launch, long carry and straight. The Ryzersole is the engine of straight shots which happen almost every time you swing this club. There is no set up, no change, no manipulation, basically no thought required to just step and hit a straight shot. Off the tee it is a true fairway finder and off the fairway it is a green seeker. You don’t need to aim right or left; just go straight at your target and the ball will hold its line amazingly well ever single shot. It might possibly be the easiest to hit 3-wood I’ve ever had in the bag.
My Tour Edge Exotics C722 3-wood came paired with a Mitsubishi Tensei Blue AV 75g shaft. This combo is very smooth, with a nice mid launch quality which makes overall high launch very easy when paired with this head. The combo compliments each other nicely. There are a number of other stock options depending on your needs or feel preference.

Summary
The Tour Edge Exotics C722 3-wood has a sole for straight shots. One of the easiest to hit 3-woods offers up high launch, low spin and long shots. It has driver features in a compact 3-wood body. The Ryzersole is the engine that drives the performance of this club’s straight shots. I’m impressed by the entire C722 line and this 3-wood is as good as anything out there. If you haven’t figured out a 3-wood combo that works for you yet; this club should be the 1st 3-wood you try this year, it also might end up being the only one you try since it will probably go straight in your bag.
