The TRS Slider is a training aid that physically gets your right arm in the “slot” or proper positions so that you can’t flair out your right arm and come over the top with your swing.

While you can’t wear it while playing 18 holes, if you give it some time regularly at the range, you might be able to cure the slice forever.

The TRS Slider “Strap”

The TRS Slider Training Aid is a large strap that wraps around your chest, this a 2nd sleeve that wraps around your bicep.

These 2 straps are connected by a plastic “ring” that slides.

This forces you to keep that right arm (trailing arm) close to the body while wearing it.

The arm strap has velcro for a nice tight fit, while the chest strap is adjustable with a buckle so that once you get the size set, you can leave it ready for the next practice session.

It folds/rolls up into a very compact carrying case that will fit in any pocket in your golf bag.

It comes in 2 sizes depending on your chest size.

Use At Home or The Range

The TRS Slider Training Aid is quick and easy to put on so that you can use it anytime you want to take some swings, practice hitting balls or warming up.

I takes about a 30 second to put on and then there is virtually nothing else to do other than swing normal.

It forces your arms to sync with your torso so that your arms get into the proper “slot” at impact.

It trains through physical muscle memory.

The more you use it the more it will feel natural.

I used it for a couple months before I really felt it was ingrained in my mind and body.

The Results

All training aid claim to work, but there are very few that I have reviewed that I still use.

The TRS Slider Training Aid however is legit; it works.

It does take time however to repeat the swing and feeling of wearing it while you are playing golf.

You’ll be hitting great shots at the range pretty quickly, but it will take longer to keep those arms in the right slot when you aren’t wearing it.

Your body has a natural tendency to go back to old habits on the course.

There is a reason that pros use this and keep using it, because that flailing trail arm comes back under pressure or when we get tired.

But if you are serious about eliminating the slice (and hook) this is one of the “real deal” training aids that does what is says.

It can’t fix your grip, it can’t fix your aim, it won’t improve your speed, but with consistent practice and use, it will work wonders on your slice.

I think this paired with a grip trainer will get you hitting the ball straighter than ever so that your entire upper body is properly set up for a good swing.

Summary

The TRS Slider Training Aid is effective, easy, and teaches you the feel of proper arm position during the swing by keeping it connected to the torso.

There is a reason it is popular on tour.

I’ve used others that were similar in concept, but this is certainly the easiest in terms of use and execution.

If you are fighting a slice, don’t keep aiming left and watching the ball curve out of play, but get this and use it. You can use it at home, warming up or for extended range sessions.
