Everything We Love About The OG TRUEs But With Better Traction, Stability and Style
I have worn TRUE Linkswear shoes since 2010 when the very first model came out. They were ground breaking at the time with their zero drop, wide toe box, waterproof and focus on a flexible and natural motion for walking. In 2025 the OG3 Pro goes back to their roots by recreating everything we loved about those first shoes while upping their game with better traction, stability and style. I’ve walking in these shoes almost everyday for the last 2 weeks and played 3 rounds of golf wearing them. TRUE fans are going to love these, and if you haven’t experienced their zero drop, wide toe box and natural walk, now is the time to try them.

Zero Drop
The concept behind zero drop shoes is simple: when you walk around barefoot your feet are in their most natural state. So shouldn’t your shoes replicate a barefoot like experience with protection, traction and comfort. TRUE Linkswear has been doing that for 15 years at their core with their first shoes and their Originals and OGs since. The OG3 Pro Golf Shoes are everything we love about TRUEs with their zero drop build. These shoes are incredibly natural feeling with every step which is why I like wearing them on and off the course. All day long my feet are in their most natural position whether I am standing, walking, swinging or even sitting.
New Spikeless Outsole
TRUE began with a very unique tread pattern 15 years ago with their rectangle spikeless lugs. They’ve experimented with other styles over the years and have a new design in the TRUE Linkswear OG3 Pro Golf Shoes that offer more stability and traction while walking and swinging. This TPU spikeless outsole has flex lines built in so that the sole bends in the ideal position without cracking and Ts in almost spike like patterns to grip the ground more aggressively. These certainly have some of the most traction of any TRUE shoe I’ve worn. The other feature that helps with stability and traction is how the sole is slightly wider than the body of the shoe.
Natural Comfort
The TRUE Linkswear OG3 Pro Golf Shoes are built on the same philosophy of the first model by offering a flexible shoe that felt natural while walking. You can take these right out of the box (bag) and wear them for 18 holes and the rest of the day. Zero Drop, soft cushion, and flexible uppers mean that your natural comfort is immediate. I also like how these seemed to hold their shape a little more than some previous ones. While we all like a well broke-in shoe, sometimes that leads to sloppy. These however are holding up extremely well to the wear and tear of walking in them everyday.
Style
The one complaint about the first models (and some since) that TRUE designed was that they looked like “clown shoes” The zero drop and wide toe box almost made them look like the toes were sticking up higher than the heels. The TRUE Linkswear OG3 Pro Golf Shoes are pure style. They blend in perfectly while still offering excellent style. They come in 4 colors which show the companies NW roots. White is my favorite model and works great in the AZ heat. They breath enough while still being guaranteed 100% waterproof. The water beaded heel strap is a super cool style feature.
Walking Performance
The TRUE Linkswear OG3 Pro Golf Shoes are made for walking and swinging. They have taking both of these motions into account with the zero drop cushioned foot bed and the wider spikeless outsole. Your feet are naturally in the right position for every step and every swing. However for some golfer there might be a slight adjustment period if you’ve only worn shoes with elevated heels. (most shoes) Even walking at first for new TRUE wearers can be a different feeling for their ankles and calves, but if you walk around barefoot regularly, these are perfect. I really like the added cushion for reducing impact on each step.

You’ve heard me say it before and I’ll say it again, TRUE makes some of the best shoes in golf. The TRUE Linkswear OG3 Pro Golf Shoes ranks up there are one of their best. They have embraced their roots while improving the design. We love the zero drop, wide toe box and comfort. We also get better traction, stability and style in 2025.
