Every Golfer Needs A Heated Vest
Winter is coming…It doesn’t matter what part of the country you are in, December/January are the coldest months of the year. Here in AZ the mornings and afternoons can get cool. If you are able to golf during the cooler months of the year, or if you are up north and need to keep you core warm, even on the coldest of day, then you should own a heated vest.

If you want the absolute warmest vest, go puffy, however they also tend to be the bulkiest. If you want warm and weather-proof with a little less bulk, then go softsheel. Fleece Benefits for Golf
I’ve been a huge fan of wearing a vest for golf because of how flexible it allows you still to swing. The Venustas Heated Fleece Vest is the most flexible version of a vest that I’ve worn. It is the least bulky and they easiest to swing in. It is also the most compact if you end up taking it off during the round and putting it in your golf bag. It feels so soft to the touch too that the texture is really soothing while playing golf. It has a nice look and feel that works with just about any golf apparel.
Vest Style For Golfing
A golf vest always seems in style. Fleece has been a choice for warmth for decades. I found that the Vesustas Heated Fleece Vest can be worn with virtually anything from a polo, to a hoodie, with long sleeves or short sleeves for both men and women. It is the most casual of vests, but the texture adds a level of comfort and style that says “warm”. They have nice fitted look so you don’t feel or look bulky even with long sleeves and a vest on. I went with the size M (5’9 and 190 LBS) while my wife went with size XS (5′ 9″ 125lbs).
Battery Life and Function
The Venustas Heated Fleece Vest is warm all by itself without the heating elements. However, the real benefits come when you plug in the battery pack, and push the button. There are 3 levels of heat: Red, White, Blue, which light up on the chest and you can look down at any time to see the intensity. The battery life is impacted by the level of heat, but I found I could almost get all 18 holes in even on the highest level, but usually run on medium heat. The battery back can double as an emergency phone charger in your pocket too.
Fleece Heated Comfort and Performance
The Venustas Heated Fleece Vest uses a carbon fiber heating elements in 6 areas to keep your core warm during the swing. The close body fit helps get the heat on your body so you can feel it working into your muscles. I like the vest better than a jacket for both comfort during the swing, but I also found that the vest releases heat too so that you don’t overheat once you get warmed up. I found the fleece vest to be the most comfortable and flexible for swinging in along with being the softest to the touch.

Venustas might not be a household name when it comes to golf or golf apparel, but it is one of the leading brands in heated apparel. They offer great pricing this time of year. Even if you don’t golf, you are going to love the Venustas Heated Fleece Vest at a football game, skiing, hiking, or any outdoor activity in the winter. If you play golf in AZ this winter, I highly recommend this vest for the cool start to your round in the morning. While you might not need it the whole round, it will warm up your core for the first few holes until the sun warms you up.
