The Axglo E3 Electric Push Cart is the “budget friendly” version of an electric push cart with follow.  I got it on the course this fall to see if it was as faithful as the E5 Cart. I came away just as impressed with the budget friendly version of the Axglo electric push cart because it has almost all the same features: easy fold, super stable, long battery life, best follow mode, and an even better price.  Now is the time to consider upgrading your regular push cart into an electric push cart with follow.

This is the my definitive review of the Axglo E3 Electric Push Cart for 2023.

Why An Electric Push Cart?

This newish segment in the golf industry has grown by leap and bounds over the last 5 years.  It used be extremely rare to see an electric push cart at a golf course.  Now I’m not the only one.  There are so many benefits of walking that have been well documented over the years that it makes sense to walk rather than ride or carry the weight of a bag on your shoulders, or even the endure the stress of pushing 35lbs down the fairway.  The Axglo E3 Electric Push Cart makes it easy to walk without carrying or pushing your clubs, just using a simple remote to guide it around the course or have it follow you.

E3 Vs. E5

The most obvious question is what makes the Axglo E3 Electric Push Cart different from the E5.  The 3 main differences are the bag attachment system is only a single strap with less adjustments in the E3, the folded size of the E3 is bigger and there are no power controls on the E3 cart, it must be used with the remote. The E5 could be driven without a remote, while the E3 requires it. Otherwise many of the other features like stability, battery life, follow mode and awesomeness remain the same.  The E3 is an amazing product at a more budget friendly price point.

Battery Life

The Axglo E3 Electric Push Cart has 2 battery options: one rated for 36 holes and the other for 45.  However my experience says that they took a very conservative approach to be on the safe side rather than the way most batteries are marketed.  Usually something says 10 hours and you get 7 or less.  The Axglo E3 battery life say 36 holes I think I could get 54-72 holes on one charge.  I’d recommend charging after your round to be safe, but if you ended up with an opportunity to sneak in more holes, your E3 will be ready to go further.  The app and the console screen have a battery gauge so you can easily see how much power is left.

Follow MODE

I’ve been impressed with the Axglo follow mode.  The E3 Electric Push Cart has the same follow software as the E5 and it is awesome.  Once you get it locked to the remote, it follows behind at a safe distance and traces the path you walked.  I’m impressed how well it follows my line over a bridge, between trees, around the greens, etc.  If you avoid something, it avoids that object.  If walk on the right side, it rolls down the right side.  It smoothly follows a couple yards behind and stops when you stop and goes when you go.  I throw the remote in my back pocket or belt clip and away we go.  It simply impresses in follow mode.

Remote Life

The Axglo E3 Electric Push Cart uses a remote for virtually everything.  You can’t drive it or really move it without the remote.  This is the cost reducing measure to make this a more budget friendly cart.  Mastering the remote is really key for using and enjoying this cart.  The remote has 4 buttons: power, joystick disc, follow and lock.  Once you get it connected you “drive” it with the disc. It steers like a joystick.  If you double-click it forward it speeds up into a cruise control mode.  It can be touchy just like double clicking on your computer.  The lock button is super important because that is basically the electric brake system.  I found that unlocking and then follow or drive worked better than just trying to jump into the other mode.  Once you really master the remote life, it is pretty quick and simple.  I only had a couple glitches of interference while using.  I just had to power off the remote and power it back on.

Fold/Unfold

The Axglo E3 Electric Push Cart is the same basic design as the Axglo Flip n’ Go cart with the addition of electric features.  It weighs around 35lbs, which is about the same as your fully loaded bag with clubs.  It has 2 levers for fold/unfold.  It is very straight forward.  It ends up a little less compact than the E5 but still rather compact in the folded position and about the same as other push carts when unfolded, just slightly shorter than the E5. I prefer to keep the battery separate for charging and weight reduction until I use it on the course. One thing of note is the lack of a wheelie bar/wheel, but because of the extremely low CG it is not necessary as this cart never tips on the course when it goes up, down, or around hills.

Console

The Axglo E3 Electric Push Cart has a spacious console which can hold keys, rangefinder, phone, wallet, golf balls and still have room left over.  Axglo makes the best consoles of any electric carts.  I like that is it solid and not a net too.  The display is placed a the far end of the console near the bag.  I surprisingly really liked it there.  While it might seem a little more “hidden” it was nicely shaded from the AZ sun making it easy to read.  It is backlit and lets you know the speed, battery life, Bluetooth, follow or lock and distance traveled.  It has a cup holder and umbrella holder too.

Bag Strap

The Axglo E3 Electric Push Cart comes with a single bungee on the top to secure with bag and a big “basket” like bracket on the bottom.  The big half circle base holds small and large bags equally secure without straps.  The shape also keeps the bag from twisting.  I was impressed how well it held even a smaller stand bag.  I didn’t have any twisting, turning or worries about a falling bag no matter how many bumps or hills I rolled over. The upper strap and bracket do a nice job of holding it secure too.

Price Point

The Axglo E3 Electric Push Cart comes out of Canada and ships anywhere in the world with a price point that is even more budget friendly than the E5 and with the sale going on now is pretty hard to beat the deal.  Getting into a electric push cart with follow mode for the price of a set of irons is well worth it.  The Black Friday deal along with all the features of this cart, makse it our top bargain for golf products at the end of 2023.

Summary

The Axglo E3 Electric Push Cart is all about mastering the remote.  Once you do so, the follow mode, price point, ease of use, long battery life, and stability will make this one of you favorite golf products.  While the E3 might be the budget friendly version compared to the E5, you get almost all the same great features to enjoy walking while playing golf with your clubs following you wherever you go.  I am impressed with Axglo’s Electric Push Carts and the E3 is an excellent budget friendly option.
