I walked around the golf course for 4 rounds in my Adidas CODECHAOS Laceless Golf Shoes. These futuristic laceless shoes are surprisingly comfortable and functional. They make for a great walk along with good traction. They are laceless and spikeless but are stable around the foot and on the turf. Adidas is pushing the boundaries of innovation and created an inspiring laceless golf shoe that look futuristic but works very well in the present.

Laceless Shoes??

It is the obvious question when first seeing the Adidas CODECHAOS Laceless Golf Shoes. How do golf shoes work without laces? Are they tight enough? Are they comfortable for walking? How is the fit? As you could guess, Adidas did their research and built on the CODECHAOS platform a laceless golf shoe that checks all the boxes of form and function. The laceless feature was really nice, easy and didn’t feel like anything was missing. If you don’t like tying shoe laces, these are perfect. If you don’t like the constricted feeling of laces, these are what you’ve been looking for.

Materials

Adidas has been using recycled materials now for years to create their golf shoes. In the Adidas CODECHAOS Laceless Golf Shoes it is obvious that they use 50% recycled Parley Ocean Plastic waste and 50% recycled polyester yarn to make the mess uppers. That is paired with a Boost Midsole and Spikeless Gripmore rubber outsole. The white on white make these very clean and futuristic looking. There is a waterproof film over mess upper which completely repel all water making these ideal for wet condition. The “hightop” style also keeps water from dripping down the top of the shoes. They only come in 2 colors at the moment.

Traction

The Adidas CODECHAOS Spikeless Golf Shoes are built on the CODECHAOS platform which is a spikeless outsole called Twist Grip. It is a mixture of zones, ridges and flex points which keep your feet firmly attached to the ground. I had no slippage whatsoever while wearing these shoes. The sole in combination with the laceless fit work well to keep feet from sliding around while walking or swinging. While not as tight as laces, not loose or slippery. I like how the sole flexes to stay connected to the ground, yet has a smooth look and feel while walking off the course. These could easily be your daily shoes to work, for going out or anywhere you want a slightly futuristic look. These soles are durable and multi-functional.

Performance

The Adidas CODECHAOS Laceless Golf Shoes are a non-traditional, futuristic looking shoe that performs surprisingly well for all 18 holes. They are very comfortable right out of the box for all 18 holes, they grip like a champ on any surface and their laceless hightop uppers hold your feet in place easily and securely. There is a big cushion on the outside of the heel area that serves to softly flex and yet hold your foot in place. They breath exceptionally well to so that your feet never gets hot. They are waterproof too with a hightop upper which makes them better than most in wet conditions because the water doesn’t drip down on the top of your socks. The CODECHAOS shoe platform is one of our favorites because of the BOOST comfort, stable sole, spikeless design and comfort while walking, add the laceless uppers and you have a new, futuristic shoe that is comfortable and works well.

Summary

Adidas created one of the more unique and futuristic shoes for 2023 with the Adidas CODECHAOS Laceless Golf Shoes. They are comfortable right out of the box, are made with recycled materials, have a laceless fit and will perform great while walking in wet or dry conditions. They are easy to get on and off while still holding feet tight enough for “swinging for the fences” while still comfortable to wear all day. They are one of the best waterproof shoes too with their high top uppers. If you want golf shoes that don’t look like traditional golf shoes, but take their inspiration from the future, these are a great option.

If you are looking for a non-traditional golf shoe, these are one the most functional ones out there for both on and off the course.
