The Best Golf Glove Just Got Way Better

I used the Claw MAX Golf Glove for 5 rounds of golf. The Claw MAX is an impressive upgrade to my favorite glove. I have been a huge fan of Claw gloves since day one and the MAX version has some significant improvements in design and function. The grip, comfort and durability make it an outstanding glove which holds up extremely well in the AZ heat.

The Claw Continues to Impress
It may sound like a broken record as I have had high words of praise for each Claw golf glove that they introduce, but they keep getting better. It has been a couple years since I used the first one and they have consistently improved their product with each new model. It is simply hard to beat a glove that lasts a whole golf season and is just as comfortable and grippy as the the day I opened the package. By comparison I’d have gone through at least 10 normal gloves during the year; especially in the AZ summer heat, it can be a glove per round. The Claw MAX has many of the same features that make the Claw glove great, but they added some stability and improved materials in 2023.
New Synthetic Leather
The Claw MAX Golf Glove has new materials for 2023. It is still a black and white glove. It looks similar to their original glove. However, instead of all mesh and stretchy materials on the back of the hand, they now use synthetic leather. The big shift is from a suede like synthetic leather to a smooth synthetic leather. It is very soft, but has much less stretch. This is why it this glove doesn’t move around on your hand. While I never minded the previous models which did have some “slosh” on your hand, this one stays put. There is still mesh on the fingers, but much of the “stretch” is gone. This creates a tighter fit and feel for this glove.
Super Grip
The Claw MAX Golf Glove uses their silicone web coated palm to offer extreme flexibility, and excellent grip of the club. I continue to be impressed with how connected to the club it feels. With the more stable fit, because of the material used on the top, it really offers “stick” to the club without needing pressure. Reducing grip pressure while increasing hold will benefit everyone’s swing. It is one of those tips that requires a constant reminder; don’t choke the club. So yes a golf glove can help your game by allowing you to maintain good grip on the club without increasing grip pressure.
Most Durable
The Claw MAX Golf Glove is amazingly durable. I haven’t had a issue with any part of this glove during 5 rounds of 100* plus weather. My hands sweat and yet this glove barely shows any wear. I’d have probably gone through at least 2 if not more regular leather gloves. The synthetic leathers is the big improvement for this year and it is amazing. The previous suede like finish got dirty and discolored quickly. While it was washable, it still didn’t look as good as new. The new leather holds up amazingly well, and stays looking like new after multiple rounds.
Improved Stability
The Claw MAX Golf Glove is their most stable glove yet. The use of more synthetic leather and less mesh/stretchy material creates their tightest fit. While tight isn’t uncomfortable, but probably feels more like a traditional glove. I’d love to see this glove go all white: mesh, velcro closure, trim, etc. I continue to be impressed by their improvements and performance. I know their are a lot of glove options out there, many of the most popular ones come from a major OEM. However, the Claw MAX is worth a try if you’ve been on the fence for one reason or another. They’ve really improved their branding too so these gloves and packaging look very good.
Summary
The Claw MAX should be at the top of your list for products to try in 2023. Obviously at $25 is isn’t going to break the bank either. I’m a true believer in their gloves and use them for almost every round of golf I’ve played in the last 2 years. Comfort, grip, durability and now stability make these gloves that any golfer can use and enjoy. The Claw MAX is a really nice improvement over the previous version with the new synthetic leather that looks good for a very long time, yet still offers good stablility and the ability to wash the glove.
