I tested the Forme Science Arch Booster Socks over the course of the last month wearing them multiple times a week while playing golf, going for a walk or sitting at the office. Sticker shock is seemingly more common in 2023 than ever before. Even fast food prices have us scratching our heads about how much something costs. Inflation, higher interest rates, etc all seem to jack the price of basic necessities. However you can still grab a 6-pack of socks for like $10. So $30 a pair for one pair of Form Science Arch Booster Socks sounds crazy, right? Maybe not so much when you consider that cost of inserts they replace and the ease in which shoe shopping can be now that you don’t have to worry if your insert fits. Also how much design work Forme Science had to invest to get these to work. Plus how intricate the manufacturing of these socks need to be in order actually function properly; that $30 price tag starts looking about right.

Science of Arch Boost

The Forme Science Arch Booster Socks are designed to replace your arch supports in your shoes. They accomplish the same needs by pulling the arch up into proper alignment to reduce flat feet, reduce pain, and support good foot posture. The socks have different zones to create pull, compression and shape for each foot. They have specific right and left socks to not just squeeze your foot, but to shape it. You can feel the “squeeze” in just the right spots without too much stress on the rest of your foot.

Sock Vs. Insert

I’ve tested arch supports and I have friends that wear them in every shoe they own. I personally don’t need them with a very neutral arch. However, that doesn’t mean after 18 holes or lots of walking that me feet don’t ache a little. The arches absorb a lot of the compression in every step. An insert pushes up on the arch. The Forme Science Arch Booster Sock pulls up on the arch using compression and zones in the sock to use your own foot for shape. Does it Work?

The simple answer is, YES. Forme Science Arch Booster Socks do exactly what they say: boost your arch. If you need some arch support and your feet would benefit from better arch shape. The improved foot posture supports the rest of your body’s posture too. The “compression sock” design also helps with circulation and support. Healthy supported feet are key to overall body posture and health. This is beneficial for golf too as the 18 hole walk can be hard on feet along with the stress put on your feet while swinging. The reduction of foot ache while wearing the arch boosting socks is one of the benefits I noticed after 18 holes of golf.

Summary

Investing in foot care is far more important than many of us realize. Good circulation, arch support and posture all help reduce pain, maintain overall body posture and makes for better comfort during and after a round of golf or a day at work. The Forme Science Arch Booster Sock’s $30 price tag might scare some off, but consider the health benefits, ability to replace inserts and ability to use HSA funds to cover the purchase cost.
