I used the Stitch MIY SL2 Golf Bag for a handful of rounds this fall for golf. I designed the bag online with Stitch’s MIY customizable program. It functions as good as it looks and is a step forward in bag design as well as future potential. Stitch listened to their customers and created something that they can make how they want.

Make It Yours Bag?
Have you ever wanted to design your own golf bag? Maybe you’ve thought about certain color combinations, certain looks, certain pockets; if only you could make it how you wanted it instead of they way the manufacturer made it. Stitch listened and created the MIY series (Make It Yours) golf stand bag line based on the SL2 bag. At the moment there are 12 different options you can build. But the future potential is unlimited as to what Stitch could offer to their customers in the MIY bag. I enjoyed picking the details and making it fit my design eye. Everyone can make a Stitch MIY SL2 Golf Bag the way they like it now and have options to change it in the future.
4-Way Top
The Stitch MIY SL2 Golg Bag has a 4-way full length top divider system. I would say that this is one of the great debates in the online golf world: What is the “best” divider system and how many? Are you a fan of 14, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1? Obviously there is a variety of opinions and that is why bag companies make different divider systems for their bags. I’ll admit I gravitate toward 14 way tops for organizational purposes, but can appreacite a 4-way top that get the job done well. I see a 4 way top as woods/putter, irons in 2 parts and wedges in the 4th. The angular design of the Stitch MIY SL2 golf bag means the irons separate from the middle to the sides so they kind of stack on top of each other nicely while spacing so that woods and wedges fill the middle section. The molded top handle is perfect for picking up the bag.
GT Saddle Pockets
The customization of the Stitch MIY SL2 Golf Bag is based on the 3 color choices of GT Saddle Pockets. There are 2 chassis colors which can be paired with 3 pocket colors. I love how it is interchangeable with magnets and zippers. It is a 3 pocket saddle which opens up to house lots of gear for a lightweight bag. Obviously the more gear your put in the heavier your bag will get, but it is nice to have ample storage in this compact stand bag. The spine pocket is magnetic and words great for golf balls, rangefinders or anything you want to get at quickly and easily. It also has an inner zipper for your wallet or birdie shots. The saddle pockets are bigger too and can carry additional golf ball or any other necessary golf gear. There is an insulated slot on one side for your beverage bottle. I like the heavy duty zippers which make them easy to get into.
Stitch Tour Material
The Stitch MIY SL2 Golf Bag is made Stitch’s tour material which looks like leather but has better durability, water and dirt proofing as well as holds it shape better. This bag looks as classy and fancy as any bag on the market because of this high quality material. The color palette is muted and stylish in retro automotive tones. Based on the MIY SL1 bags, there will certainly be more options and materials in the future. I liked how this bag performed in the weather. I had both dusty and damp conditions during the rounds I used it for and even though it is mostly white, it wipes right off and stays looking like new.
Super Lightweight
The Stitch MIY SL2 Golf Bag is named Super Light. While it comes in at 99 ounces (6lbs) it isn’t the lightest bag, but certainly lightweight. Weight is then dictated by how much gear you fill your bag with. The GT Saddle Pockets can hold a lot so to keep the weight down, take only what you need for the round to keep the weight down on your shoulders and back. The customizable shoulder strap distibute the weight nicely and are easy on and off. The stand leg deploy easily too holding the bag at a mid angle on the fairways. The bag also stands straight up and down without the legs which is another nice feature. I rode nicely on power and push carts too.
Premium Bag
The Stitch MIY SL2 Golf Bag is a premium bag. It looks, feels and acts like a top shelf bag. The MIY customization makes this bag truly personal but not full blown custom bag. I like the potential of future options for pockets and colors too. Fellow golfers will take notice of this bag. It has a classy look, functional design and you won’t find too many just like yours. You can even add initials to it for more personalization. While it carries a premium price (there is a great Black Friday sale going on) you get a premium product. It is comfortable to carry, sturdy to use, looks amazing and is designed to look the way you want.

This premium lightweight stand bag is customizable and functions really well on the course.
