I carried my clubs in the newest bag creation from SuperStroke. It looks like a staff bag, weighs the same as a cart bag and has features of a stand bag. This is one of the most versatile and stylish golf bags you can buy. The SuperStroke Pantheon Hybrid Bag is perfect for the golfer who rides most of their rounds but wants a single strap carry bag with the convenience of a stand mechanism and all the storage of a staff bag.

Hybrid Bag??
The concept behind any hybrid is to make something useful in multiple situations. The hybrid golf club is used for multiple types of shots and is easier to hit than a long iron and more consistent then a fairway wood. While hybrid golf bags aren’t their own category yet, SuperStroke created the Pantheon Hybrid Bag which fits a couple categories: Cart bag, Staff Bag, and Stand Bag. Like all good hybrids it isn’t exclusive to one category but blends them all together. If you want something very versatile in its use, this might be the perfect bag for someone who rides a lot, but likes a single strap carry bag with storage space like a staff bag.
6-Way Top
While I might lean toward a 14 way top divider system, the SuperStroke Pantheon Hybrid Bag’s 6 way top is certainly the recommended top system by many other websites and golfers. It divides the clubs into major categories: putter, driver, woods/hybrid, long irons, short irons, and wedges. Each slot has a full length dividers and can hold 1 to 3 clubs. There is plenty of space to get the clubs out easily and each section holds the group of clubs nicely so that it doesn’t get too jumbled or tangled up. The top is plenty big to hold all 14 clubs and even a couple training aids like alignment sticks or weighted warm up tools.
10 Pockets
The SuperStroke Pantheon Hybrid Bag has 10 pockets. Many of them are large offerings lots of storage. This bag feels more like a staff bag in terms of storage. The very large full length side pockets can hold rain gear, shoes and extra golf balls. There are a couple of slot pockets to hold wallet, keys and cellphone. There is really cool top slot pocket which makes access to my wallet really convenient when the cart girl comes around with drinks. My favorite pocket on the spine is a magnetic one which gets accessories, and golf balls at the ready. This is a big zipper pocket at the bottom of the spine to hold more gear, like an accessories pouch and extra golf balls just in case things are going sideways. It also has a couple of bottle pockets on the spine and a water bottle flap. If you want, you can really load this bag with gear for your round of golf, much like a staff bag. Yet it remains compact enough to fit nicely on the bag of a cart. When fully loaded I’d prefer a caddy to carry it rather than my shoulders.
Tour Material
The SuperStroke Pantheon Hybrid Bag comes in 2 colors, black or white. Both bags look like they came straight off the tour with their simple looks and leather like material. It is a synthetic leather that has a smooth finish paired with some carbon fiber looking accent material. The all black bag is classy and works really great even in some weather as it repels dust, dirt and rain. the best in the business. It is highly durable, and amazingly functional. The logo is very simple and understated on the bag bag as it shows up on the magnetic pocket and that is about it. The bag just screams class from top to bottom.
Stand Mechanism
The SuperStroke Pantheon Hybrid Bag gets its title from the stand legs that and built into this cart/staff bag. One of the unique features of this stand mechanism is the zipper enclosure which can completely hide the stand system. I love how it is protected while riding on carts, or even in the trunk, but with a velcro flap and zipper can be deployed for use. The solid base makes it completely stealth too as the base pivots to deploy the legs. I’ve seen legs ripped off bags before with carelessness around carts, but if you keep yours tucked away, they are safe and sound. It also makes the bag look even more clean and finished with the legs hidden. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen this feature before, but it works and totally fits the look and function of this bag.
Staff Bag Details
The SuperStroke Pantheon Hybrid Bag is called a cart bag with stand bag function. But to me it looks more like a staff bag that can also ride on a cart because of its size, and could even be carried because of the leg system. The details that make it look like a staff bag are the materials, zippers, single strap, monotone look and shape. While I know amatuers don’t need to carry around a staff bag, but if you want one really classy, well designed and functional bag, this things is versatile. While most carry bag have gone to dual shoulder straps, this single strap bag is unique and carries surprisingly well. Caddies love single straps and while it may not balance all the weigh equally between shoulders, it balances very nicely on the one strap.
Summary
The company known for their oversized putter grips has jumped into the bag market. The SuperStroke Pantheon Hybrid Bag offers a blend of all bag worlds with a cart bag size, staff bag storage and looks with stand bag legs. It is kind of a do-it-all design that looks super classy and functions very nicely. The 6-way top, clean looks, ample storage, nice pockets and hidden legs make this an upgrade worth considering.
