I used the Tour Edge Exotics C723 Driver to driver the ball for 5 rounds of golf.  I also tested it on the range and in the Office by Carl’s Place DIY Simulators.  The combination of on course testing and FlightScope numbers proved this driver is loaded with technology and can go head to head with any driver out there.  It also is one of the most adjustable drivers for 2023.  This is a combo to reckon with.

This is my definitive review of the Tour Edge Exotics C723 Driver for 2023.

In 2023 there was a trend to take away adjustability in drivers.  If you look at most the new drivers, the only adjustment is the hosel.  While I know that many golfers never touch the adjustable parts of their driver anyways, it certainly limited the “tuning” ability of a driver to perfectly fit the golfer.  Tour Edge however went the other direction and made their driver more adjustable.  The Tour Edge Exotics C723 Driver is the most tunable driver on the market.  There are weights and tracks and hosels that can all be adjusted to make this driver fit your swing.  Not only is it adjustable, it is full of technology which drives the performance of this club to its limits.  It combines titanium, tungsten and carbon for a low spin strong launching driver.

Flight Tuning System

The Tour Edge Exotics C723 Driver has interchangeable weights and a track on the sole.  The weight near the face can help reduce spin and launch while the track on the back raises MOI along with the ability to alter the flight, straight, left or right.  The 15 gram weight stock is near the face, while the 5 gram weight that is in the rear can be swapped.  This change adjusts spin and launch as well as feel.  If you want to get even more custom you can buy additional weights from Tour Edge.  What this means is that you can tune this club to fit your needs.  While off the rack is comes in the low spin set up, it still launches easy and feels solid.  I like this set up right out of the box.  You can also adjust the hosel +/- 1.5* too for even more variety in terms of face angle, launch and direction.

360* Ridgeback Technology

The 360* Ridgeback Technology creates a visual line as well as a weight axis in the Tour Edge Exotics C723 Driver. This isn’t just a crown feature, but a full body feature which puts a large portion of the driver head structure along the center “ridge” which is going to help hit the ball down the center.

Diamond Face VFT

The Tour Edge Exotics C723 Driver has a diamond design to their variable face thickness which creates high ball speeds on off-center hits.  Tour Edge continues to impress with their face tech as this is a very “large” face both tall and wide.  There is plenty of room to miss the “screws” and still get great distance.

Quad Carbon Tech

The Tour Edge Exotics C723 Driver has carbon in 4 quadrants around the 360* Ridgeback frame.  The Quad Carbon allows Tour Edge to move the most weight to specific placements in the head.  This is how Tour Edge can get very high MOI, low spin and lots of power from this head, plus the most adjustability too.

Sound, Feel and Appearance

The Tour Edge Exotics C723 Driver has a very muted crack.  It is lower pitched than most drivers giving it a very pleasant and deep sound.  It is like you can hear the carbon paired with the tungsten in the sole crushing the ball behind the titanium face.  It feels hot and the ball pops off the face with excellent speed.  The head looks big at address which creates confidence for golfers wanting to bomb the ball down the fairway. It sits square behind the ball with the nice glossy crown which looks very sharp at address.

Shaft

The Tour Edge Exotics C723 Driver has 2 stock shaft options.  I went with the Tensei AV Blue 65 stiff flex shaft which is a mid launch smooth launching shaft.  The balance of this shaft with the low spinning head means quick launch and flat flight.  If you want to go all-out low spin/launch the HAZRDUS Black will go even lower.

On-Course Performance

The Tour Edge Exotics C723 Driver is impressive.  I’ve seen a few of my longest drives this summer come off the face of this driver.  The flight is mid, spin is low and the carry is long.  The ball screams down the fairway.  It is pretty easy to “turn it over” with this driver which means if you want to work the ball, especially a baby draw this club can do that, especially if you tune it, or you can tune it to combat that.  While I don’t tinker much and really prefer straight flight, this is the best driver in 2023 to make adjustments to fit your desired flight and to make sure you swing needs are balanced.

Summary

The Tour Edge Exotics C723 Driver is the most adjustable/tunable driver you can buy in 2023.  If you like to tinker, if you have very specific needs or if you play a variety of courses that demands different set-ups this driver is your best option.  It has low spin, strong launch and lots of technology.  It is big and easy line up with plenty of forgiveness. The low muted crack at impact is a deep powerful sound that impresses.  Tour Edge combined a whole bunch of technology with titanium, tungsten and carbon to make this an adjustable, long and straight driver.
