A Lightweight Stand Bag
If you are a 22 year old collegiate golfer or a 45 year old weekend hack, having a lightweight stand bag is key to a successful 18 hole walk. You want a bag that is fully functioning with pockets and space, but yet lightweight enough so that your back and shoulders aren’t killing you after the round. The Bag Boy SB-100 Stand Bag is that perfect blend of lightweight with plenty of function. It isn’t the lightest bag ever, but certainly light enough to reduce wear and tear on your body when carrying for 4 hours.

The Right Pockets
The Bag Boy SB-100 Stand Bag has just the right amount and placement of the 6 main pockets: 2 on the spine, 2 on the outside and 2 on the inside. The spine pockets are zippered with easy to pull toggles that open up 2 fairly large pockets that can hold the majority of things you need for 18 holes. You can keep your rangefinder, golf balls, glove, divot tool, etc in these pockets. The inside two pockets are perfect for a spare gloves, score cards or something thin next to your cold beverage pocket.
The one outside pocket is almost full length of the bag and works great for rain gear or other larger items. The pocket on top of that is the velour lined phone/wallet pocket. These all open and close easily for access to whatever you need in your bag. There are a couple other features like the large towel ring, the tee slots, and the umbrella holder that all function in harmony with the pockets.

Walk or Push
The Bag Boy SB-100 Stand Bag is ideal for carrying on your shoulders for 18 holes, but it also rides on a Bag Boy Nitron Push Cart perfectly too without wiggle or twist. The Top-Lok rides perfectly in the upper bracket of the cart while the base of the bag has a slot for the lower bracket. Another great features is that you can detach the carry straps easily if you don’t want them in your way while pushing. They clip back on quickly after your round if you want to carry it to your car. It functions nicely too if you end up on a riding cart for a round here and there.

5-Way Top
I am a big fan of 14-way tops, especially because I ride many of my round in AZ. However, when you are walking 18 holes while carrying your bag on your shoulders the reduction of weight and the ease of getting clubs in and out of a 5-top becomes pretty evident. You don’t need to worry so much about getting every club into the right slot, but you can slide them into any of the large opening of your bag. I went from the bottom up: wedges, desert clubs, short irons, long irons, and woods+putter. They all fit easily and you could rearrange depending on which ones you like where in your Bag Boy SB-100 Stand Bag.

Summary
Bag Boy did a great job of revamping their bag line with the new 100 series. The SB-100 is a lightweight, functional, stylish and full featured bag. Their 5 classic color options make this one good looking bag. If you are planning to walk more in 2026, I would put this bag at the top of the list of bags to use for carrying your clubs for 18 holes. It is easy to use, comfortable while using and has all the features that you are going to want and need for your round.
