The Ping G440 LST 3-Wood can be summarized with two words: Straight and Low.

Ping has really mastered the art of straight in the entire G440 line, and especially in the low spinning and launching 3-wood.

They added titanium, a huge sole weight, a carbon wrapped crown and reduced the hosel weight for one of the lowest spinning and launching 3-woods for 2025.

I found this compact and thin 3-wood to hit penetrating bullets that went perfectly straight.

If you want to bring your launch and spin down I highly recommend this 3 wood. Ping has really dialed in the art of straight shots, and this 3-wood also takes it low for higher swing speed golfers.

I tested this 3-wood on the golf course, on the range and in the iGR Office by Carl’s Place Simulators.

This is my definitive Ping G440 LST 3-Wood Review.

Ping G440 LST 3-Wood

Compact Size Yet Big Results.

The Ping G440 LST 3-Wood is one of the smaller footprints for fairway woods.

Ping created a model for lower handicap golfers with higher swing speeds to keep spin and launch down so the appeal of the smaller head and thinner face is exactly what they need.

I am impress with how powerful this small 3-wood is off the tee.

You can hit beautiful “stinger” like shots that just go straight and roll down the fairway.

Contoured Sole For Sitting Flush

I love being able to set a 3-wood on the ground behind the ball and it sits flush all by itself.

Ping dialed in the sole of the G440 LST 3-wood making it easy to set-up at address since the contoured sole keep it in the perfect position at address.

While this might not seem like much, but it takes one less thought out of the equation at set-up.

You can be confident that the Ping G440 LST 3-wood is ready to hit the ball straight every time you set it down before the shot.

Low Spin and Launch by Weight

I played the Ping G440 LST 3-Wood for 5 rounds of golf this spring and it is the lowest launching and spinning 3-wood in 2025.

The tungsten sole weight is heavy and forward and the rear weight on this compact head gives it just enough launch to really make shots penetrate down the fairway.

Even with low launch and spin, I still watched the ball go straight.

This club is brilliant on firm and fast conditions as well as windy days.

I wasn’t going to cut the trees on the corner of a dogleg or launch it high, but controlled straight shots that ran out is what I saw repeatedly.

High-End Performance

The Ping G440 LST 3-Wood uses a titanium cup face, a tungsten sole with, a carbon wrap crown, and an adjustable hosel; all of which means this 3-wood has all the features that most drivers have, just way smaller.

Ping has really dialed in this design to accomplish the low spin and launch of the LST line while still benefiting golfer by hitting the ball so straight.

The Ping Tour 2.0 Black shaft is a perfect compliment to this head.

The adjustable hosel can dial in the fitting for your needs.

You can hit this club into tight fairways or run it up onto the green from way out there.

Summary

The Ping G440 LST 3-Wood has mastered the art of straight with low launch and spin.

It is compact and has all the technology found in drivers.

If you need help to bring launch and spin down, but don’t want to sacrifice straight shots, this is going to be your best option for 2025.

I am impressed how the penetrating flight off the tee or fairway made for fairway finders that rolled out nicely.

I think it is best suited for higher swing speed golfers that can launch it already, but could use a little less spin and launch while still going straight.

Ping offers numerous fitting options to get this club dialed perfectly in to you needs.

Ping is dialed in for 2025 on the art of straight, and this 3-wood will keep it low and long.
