Srixon ZXi 3-Wood Review
Will Tour Inspired Shape and Performance Have You Gaming This Fairway Wood?
Tour players might have different qualities they look for in a 3-wood compared to the amateur golfer since they can generate so much speed, can launch the ball easily and maybe don’t need so much forgiveness, but that doesn’t mean their specs can benefit all golfers.
Srixon created the ZXi 3-wood with tour speed, shape, and performance that might just be a great fit for regular golfers.
While it might not be the most forgiving in the lower lofts, it certainly brings the heat with its compact footprint, thin face, high speeds and excellent distance.
I played this club in my bag for 5 rounds and in theiGR Office by Carl’s Place Simulator.
It might just be the tour inspired club that works for you.
This is my definitive Srixon ZXi 3-Wood Review.

Tour Shape = Tour Speed
The Srixon ZXi 3-Wood+ is inspired by tour golfers in terms of looks and performance.
It is compact, sleek and shaped by the best golfers in the world.
It has a reshaped sole/face to keep it close to the ground across the face while being sleek for smooth turf interaction.
They redesigned the hosel for more adjustability while offer one model with no another adjustments to keep it simple.
This club transfers the energy from the swing to the ball with impressive performance results.
I been impressed by the ball speeds off the i-Flex face.
Speed has been the biggest boost in this design.

Step Crown = Easy Launch
The Srixon ZXi 3-Wood (and +) both have step crowns which help lower the CG making it easier to launch.
I went with the 3-wood+ which has 13.5* loft and yet it is still really easy to launch the ball.
I found the lower loft kept the flight flatter down fairway without hitting “worm-burners” on initial launch.
This also helped lower the spin which also helps with distance.
It wasn’t quite a “mini-driver” but gave just a little boost to the distance and lower flight with easy launch.
I also found it to have an anti-left bias.
It might not be promoted as such, but certainly kept the ball from going left.

Strong Loft = 2-Wood Flight
The Srixon ZXi 3-Wood comes in a + version which is essentially a 2-Wood. The 13.5* loft has been great for the lower flight, longer distance and lower spin.
It isn’t as big as the mini-drivers on the market, not did it have quite the same power, but if you need to bring your launch down some, this might be one of the few low lofted fairway woods on the market.
With the anti-left bias it might be a huge confidence booster off the tee if you have trouble with driver, but need something still lower launching.
